Nice easy trail with a great view of the ocean, and the back (front?) sides of nearby homes. Don't get too excited about the Giant's Stairs, just a sloping pile of big rocks -- interesting but not over the top.
Was a nice place to visit. Didn't quite get the "Giant's Stairs" part of it. Maybe I just missed it. But any walk where I am near the ocean and flora and fauna is a great thing. Very close to where we stayed in Harpswell. Would visit here again.
Spectacular waves crashing on the rocks. Great opportunity to take pictures. Not a spot for scrambling little ones, elderly or those prone to poison ivy.
A short little walk along some rocks on the edge of the island with really spectacular views of the water and rocks below - bring a sunhat and your camera! You can climb down near the water and poke around in the seaweed. Blueberry and raspberry bushes line the trail and it's very tidy and well maintained. Park on Washington St opposite the little Episcopal church. There are also bike racks just a little ways onto the trail. An hour is more than sufficient to do the walk and take in the views.
This is a short nature walk to a beautiful overlook of the ocean. Have been coming here for years and it's different every time. Depending on tides, it can be peaceful, or very dramatic. A must see if visiting the Island. Parking available at the little church except on Sundays during the summer. Love it!
An easy walk along the coast with incredible views of the rocky coastline of mid-coast Maine. The waves crashing up against the rocks on one side and the wild roses on the other side of the trail can't be beat! Everywhere you look is gorgeous!
This walk is beautiful along the coast of the island. Many areas for breathtaking pictures and friendly people. the rocks are slippery in some areas so wear sneakers. The tide was up too high to see all the stairs when I went with my parents. Overall I would return.
Short walk with incredible views. No crowds so you have the place to yourself. Nice surprise! September is the best time to go!
A short (quarter-mile?), flat and well maintained public trail on the cliffs above Giant's Stairs, a sight that will remind you of paintings of Maine. Even people who do not like to walk, much less hike, will find this rather minimal effort disproportionately rewarding. Park at the little church, except during services.
bem ao final da ilha de bailey, esta paisagem feita pela natureza é incrível de bela. a terra e o mar juntam-se numa harmonia plena deixando-nos uma beleza impressionante...
