An urban trail that's quiet, clean and scenic. Whether by foot or bike, this is a great way to get from south Bellingham to Fairhaven. Much of the trail is within Boulevard Park and the park has waterfront and facility options. Taylor Dock is a short detour worth the time.
Access at Fairhaven for a 2.5 mile walk (or portion) to downtown. Walkway out over the water, a waterfront park with a great coffee shop halfway between. Gorgeous on a sunny day and not at all crowded mid week.
Even with a chill in the air, no one was dissuaded from this pleasant walk along the beachside, along a long dockside, and into Fairhaven. The pleasant stop halfway through for coffee made the trip perfect.
Next time you visit Bellingham, make sure to detour to the Fairhaven District and take a walk along this beautiful trail. Then stop for lunch at one of the great restaurants in the area.
Out over the ocean, beside the ocean, through a park and down a nature trail. Lovely, breath taking and enjoyable every single time.
This is a lovely, scenic place for a good long walk, not too crowded. Access via Bellingham or Fairhaven.
This trail is along the Lake Whatcom. There are some areas to jump in for a cool off after a long hot walk. There is also a waterfall on the trail. The round trip is about 6 miles...flat terrain. Great for family with young kids.
This is a great place to be outside! You can sit at Woods coffee and enjoy the view, or take a stroll on the path over the water. If you keep a sharp eye out, you can see marine wildlife.
My wife and I live the seafront in Bellingham, definitely a must see and do for anyone visiting this beautiful little gem of a city by the sea. Love this place!
Enjoy the waterfront of Bellingham from the City to Fairhaven (3 miles round trip) and take in a beach or cafe stop. Crowded on sunny days but always a friendly and casual place to meet friends.
