We went here hoping to buy freshly caught fish for dinner for 14 people, only to discover it all gets sent to Sydney and not much is left for locals or visitors!
we saw 5 seals here . a bonus and the Australia rock.Locals were very helpful ,telling us wher to go and what to see.
This is a very nice building with added interest from the local tree trunks which provide the framework to the building. There are restaurants, cafes, a wine bar, a very good clothes shop, and a bazaar type shop, as well as the fish Co-Op where you can buy fresh local fish or fish and chips to eat outside the Co-Op. It is most enjoyable to have a meal or a coffee and look at the boats in the harbour, the sea beyond, and Mt Dromedary (Gulaga). The Wharf is a wonderful addition to Bermagui, which is a pearl on the Far South Coast.
Stopped here specifically for their fish and chips and prawns. Delicious. Went back for a second helping of prawns!!! Friendly, helpful lady who served us. Would urge you to try... Won't be disappointed!!!
What a great place to stop when visiting or passing thru Bermi. Some fantastic seafood restaurants on upper or lower levels of the aesthetically pleasing wharf.Great place to meet up with friends on a sunny afternoon.
On a recent road trip on the Far South Coast, we visited the Bermagui Wharf to check out the restaurants that were available on the night we were staying in Bermagui. This is a great little spot to check out the various eateries and also to see the fishing vessels in the harbor. It is a relaxing spot to sit down and have a coffee or have a leisurely lunch or dinner. There was plenty of parking available and stairs to the upstairs area.
Sat and watched the boats coming in and out for a couple hours. Beautiful view. Close to shops and cub and caves
We've been going to Bermagui for a number of years and have seen how the Fishermen's Wharf has really transformed the waterfront. Upstairs you've got a choice of two coffee places early in the morning, and later in the day the restaurants and wine bar open up; we love drinking or eating with the marvellous view over the fishing boats out across the bay and over to Mount Dromedary (Gulaga). The people are great, and all food and drink are great. Downstairs are a couple of shops good for a browse and also the fish and chips served downstairs is great. For us the Fishermen's Wharf has really changed the waterfront of Bermagui very much for the better.
good variety of restaurants from seafood, chinese, burgers etc. great place to sit and watch the pelicans fly in and the fishing boats return to the harbour.
Right on the marina with its expensive offshore gamefishing charter boats, Fisherman's Wharf is home to a couple of gift shops, clothing outfitters, a few restaurants and even a wine bar. Of special interest is Il Passaggio, a world class Italian eatery on the upper deck.
