Although this cinema is in a university town, it books only blockbuster films designed to appeal to a general audience. Independent or international films are seemingly never given serious consideration by the management. The theatre is clean and comffortableAbove all, it is very cheap. The snacks are standard,over-priced fare.
Ok, this movie theatre doesn't have stadium seating and a holder for a Big Gulp the size of a keg, but it does offer first run movies at a fraction of the price of going to a megaplex. You will find the same Snowcaps and Pop Corn available, the same familiar sticky substance on the floors, but you will pay a lot less. The theatre is located in a dying mall, but is the anchor of the facility. The staff is friendly and for the kids, you can rent a birthday room for party gatherings. It's a small town theatre and it serves the community well.
Like others have mentioned, price can't be beat! New movies for 1/2 price at other fancier cinemas. Fantastic place!
Because I'm older, perhaps, I still like to have an evening out at the cinema occasionally. But with today's prices, it would be out of the question for me, if it were not for places like the Woodland Mall Cinema. The prices are always reasonable but on certain days of the week they are fantastic. On Tuesdays, for example, a ticket costs me MUCH less than a gallon of petrol for my car! Besides which, it is very well run, and the five individual theatres give a feeling of coziness, almost as if you are watching a film with a bunch of your friends. (And this being Bowling Green, you often DO know some of the people in there with you!) I love it and go every chance I get.
This theater is a great value for first run movies. While the theaters are smaller than newer cinemas, you can't beat the price. Plenty of movie times, and concessions with all the basics, but very good. We go quite often with manageable prices and great parking.
The movie theater (referred to by locals as the Small because it is a small theater in a mall) has unheard of prices for first run movies. They also have specials for students on certain weeknights that are even lower. The theater itself isn't particularly special (very old school), but you just can't beat the value anywhere.
I usually go every Tuesday for the discount days. I personally like the theatre and the staff. The theatres are old and not the cleanest but at least we have a cinema operating in BG.
This theater is a great bargain. I can take my children to the movies, enjoy a snack and still come out cheaper than if we went to a newer theater. First run movies including 3D movies are a great value here. The theater is older, but clean. It is a great value. My husband loves getting popcorn here and then getting the free refulls on it!
The floor cleaner than other theaters I've been to. The movie selection is always good. The concession stand is expensive, (typical of all theaters). The selection of food could be better.
Five small theaters in a strip mall with "old school" charm, showing first run movies at rolled back prices! Parents visiting their BGSU students can catch a flick here if their son/daughter has other plans for their evening that do not include them! Just know that the front doors lock in the evenings and there is a second entrance and parking on the back side.
