Played two weeks ago and it was in horrible shape. Felt like the staff was annoyed that I was playing late. 3:00 to be exact. Tee boxes are crappy, fairways are rock hard and greens are hard and blotchy. High rates for conditions also. The last straw was stopping in today to hit balls and they actually want $9 for a large bucket with approximately 40 balls. $5 for a small with about 25. This place is a joke! You are not Innisbrook so stop acting and manage your course properly. Before you shut down for good!
Nice course with decent putting green, chipping practice area and driving range. Playing here for the first time gives you somewhat of a challenge because the signs on each hole don't indicate yardage, layout or any hazards that may be up ahead. The scorecard also does not show the information on each hole! Still a nice course to play with rolling hills and large greens. Areas of long grass along some of the fairways including woods give you chances to lose balls. Nice course with friendly and helpful staff in the Pro shop as well!
Nice layout Everyone was very helpful in the proo shop and the restaurant This place is a hidden gem. Conditioning is good not perfect but they are spending the money well. The clubhouse looks like Dresden but so what A developer went broke 120 years ago. I'm a golfer why would I care. I would play again in a hearttbeat
I live on a GC in Hernando county and can't wait to sell my home and move to Hernando Oaks. The neighborhoods are beautiful and the golf course is superbly maintained with a great layout.Prices match the lowest in the area and the folks are friendly.
The golf course condition is good except for sand traps. It has a great layout and is challenging for golf ears at all levels. The club house is not finished, but there is eating facilities on site. Good value for the money.
New Management has taken over ownership of the course. They are working very hard on getting the course in better shape. Work still needs to be done on the Sand/Bunkers but the overall course is in Good shape! They do have a nice putting area for practice before teeing off. Many trees line the fairways with some greens out of view. Bunkers are placed in appropriate places for most shots. Not a lot of rain this year so the fairway can really carry your ball, even if you didn't have a great shot. Keep an eye though on your ball, with all that roll it may go over a hill or into some rough grasses, never to be seen again! Rates currently run from $21 to $33 depending on your tee time. Use of electric carts is included with golf fee.
It's a good layout but run with a very low budget..needs some TLC from ownership!
Golf course is great layout, greens are superb though not in great shape. HO, is apparently without funds, clubhouse is unfinished and fenced in, restaurant is self service and the range is well a pasture. Range balls are probably recycled water balls. The staff form cart person to restaurant and pro shop seemed less than thrilled to serve anyone, kinda like you are an imposition. All that being said, if you only want to play golf with nor frills or service it is a good deal.
Course conditions were very good. Playing areas were well groomed while the greens were receptive and fast. The staff encountered were friendly. I've been playing this course over the last 4 years when I come to Florida and without a doubt the course is in the best shape I've seen. I'll be playing here again for sure.
This course is going down hill fast. The general manager and assistant have terrible customer service. When you call for a tee time you can't even speak to someone at the course to get course conditions. This has caused us to drive to the course multiple times to find that it is either closed or cart path only. It is always muddy due to over watering and poor drainage in certain areas especially during the wet months.
