I have been to several museums around Australia and I found this one to be smaller than most and a little disappointing when compared to Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra. Don't expect to stay longer than an hour with this one. I wish it could be bigger and have more exhibits.
Thanks Kylie W for leaving a review. We also run the free City Hall tours and free clock tower tours. Hope next time you visit you're able to join us on one of those.
Thanks Chris S for leaving a review. We love our Museum and do really appreciate when visitors pop in and enjoy their visit.
Thank you Utkrista for leaving us a review. I have passed on your wonderful words to our staff, as know it will make their day. We definitely take pride and enjoy welcoming people into the Museum, so thank you for coming and sharing your story. Hopefully you got a chance to take a tour up the clock tower, also fun and interesting. We hope to see you again next time you're in town.
You know, as a Chinese, the history of Brisbane is to short and poor. But, it's a place you can have a brief understanding of the city. So if you have time, just visit.
Thanks Jon b for leaving us a review. We generally change over exhibitions every few months, so hopefully you can pop in next time you're in town and see something new.
Thanks for leaving a comment Calypso2, but I think you have us confused with Queensland Museum. We are on Level 3 of City Hall in the centre of the City. We tell unique and interesting stories of Brisbane. We also run the Clock Tower Tours and City Hall Tours (both free of charge). Next time you're i town, please pop in and check us out.
Visited this place during a one day trip to Brisbane with family.Enjoyed the exhibit that the place has to offer including the history of Brisbane and the Hollywood costumes.Staffs are friendly at the museum. Plus the museum is free for entry as well as for the clock tower visit.Free lockers are available to put away your bags and back packs while visiting the museum.Plenty of place to sit too in the museum if you're tired after a long day walking around Brisbane city.Unfortunately, we don't have enough time for the clock tower visit as the free tickets available during our visit are already at a later slots that does not suit our limited time in Brisbane. Will try to visit again next time for the clock tower now that we know there's such tour available.
Thanks for leaving a review Charliegirl51, but you might have us confused with Queensland Museum at South Bank. Next time you catch the train in though, stop at Central and pop into our Museum, we're on Level 3 of City Hall. We tell the unique stories of Brisbane through visual art and social history exhibitions. A great little oasis in the heart of the city. Hope to see you soon.
Thanks Michael K for leaving us a review. The Museum is a wonderful place to work, visit and explore! Hopefully you can visit again soon.
