This place is a "must see" if you are travelling through Bungendore. Master craftsmen have created everything from trinkets, such as scarf holders, to significant works of art, such as a towering gilded cupboard filled with hidden drawers. My favorite detailed pieces was a framed parquetry image of an optical illusion where every straight lined appeared curved.
The woodwork gallery has a wide range of handmade wooden furniture, homewares and art pieces. The pieces range from small pens and chopping boards, through to whole dining suites that are amazing in their craftsmanship.
Hi Chris, Thank you kindly for your wonderful review of the Bungendore Wood Works Gallery. It is always lovely for us to read and hear words of appreciation and to know that our customers and guests are enjoying their time when visiting. All the staff here spend much time 'ooh and Ahh-ing' at most of the items here and we thoroughly enjoyed reading about your experience. We look forward to seeing you again in the future!Warm Regards, Tilly H(on behalf of Amanda S)
If you wish to see professionally crafted wood products then this is the place to be. It has small items for those traveling overseas and magnificent furniture originally designed. As luck will have it here is a great little lunch room next door.
Visited to see the local exhibition and to see the amazing wood crafted goods in our local town :) Loved it!
Beautiful artworks and things to see inside the store. Expensive but considering the amount of work that went into crafting the pieces- totally justified.
This place is definitely worth a look if you're in Bungendore- or in the market for some extraordinary furniture or other timber goods
So happy you enjoyed your visit! The Hannah cabinet in the entrance is a unique once in a generation masterpiece that took Geoff Hannah 6.5 years to create and certainly is a show stopper.
You will never find higher quality works in wood than at the Bungendore Wood Works Gallery. It is second to none.
I am visiting friends living locally. We stopped by this place to look and dream as they said. Between the woodwork and the art I spent over an hour admiring the objects. I found things that would fit any budget from items I will take back to Belgium as gifts from Australia to pieces of work I have seen on the Antique Road Show (only new). After viewing what was in the store we enjoyed the restaurant. There was a variety of food and drink at very reasonable prices. Just to take a break at the restaurant is worth a stop. The staff at both the store and restaurant were very friendly and helpful and I was surprised at being able to just walk around and admire the amazing work this place creates. I will be back for the small gifts to take home.
