We visited the palace but didn't enter in the inside. The exterior was ok, even if we expected to see something older :)
Postcard castle with a outdoors restaurant that's worth a visit. An unequalled view! The service does an honour to its French oriented elegance. Its a bit of a walk to get there from Busteni and going by car does incur a parking fee.
The only disadvantage is that you have to pay the entrance to the garden to be able to access the restaurant. It's the perfect view over Busteni as it's a bit higher than the town.
Besides the garden, which is very beautiful, the visit to the castle itself is not worthed. You will find empty rooms and a bored guide.
The castle and grounds were covered in snow and offered a breath taking experience both inside the castle as well as outside.
This is a relatively new castle, built in the early 1900's.Some interesting art work inside and interesting facts. We took a guided tour and the tour guide was very helpful, I was the only English speaker and she took time to translate personally to me after speaking to the group.Worth a visit
Practically unknown to the average person, this castle is certainly worth a stop. It's a short tour, less than one hour, always with a guide (I only heard the guide speaking Romanian, though, didn't think to ask about other languages). The main hall is the most impressive (some might say the only room deserving a visit) for the simple reason it was saved from 'redecoration' by the communist regime. The gift shop was also a nice surprise, you can buy nicer gifts than the kitschy stuff you find on the side of the road.Entry price was 23 RON (a little more than 5 euros).
The Cantacuzino Castle is less known and crowd than Bran and Peles castles. However it is worth to visit the gardens which offer a splendid view over the mountains. There is as well a nice restaurant in the garden.
This castle is small but very typical and nice.. I advise you to go there.. I like it! And you can take a hot chocolate while you see the handsome view
We walked along the grounds of the Cantacuzino Castle this past weekend and it was pretty and snow-kissed. The view when looking at the Bucegi Mountains is fantastic. During the summer, we would like to eat in the restaurant which is on-site and maybe have a beer in the garden. Since it was snowing during this trip, we brought a sled and used it along the outer edges of the yard. Our group skipped the tour because it was only in Romanian and most of us didn't care to see the inside. The cost was 5 lei to park up top and 5 lei per person to walk around the castle grounds.
