We had to drive across the bridge to experience the view. Wish we would have had the time and weather to permit a walk across. It is well designed for pedestrians and bikers.
You cannot miss the while in Charleston. If you can try a walk across the views is great and you will enjoy
This beautiful bridge is fun to see and photograph, is great to drive over, and I saw lots of people walking, running and cycling over it. When I think of my visit to Charleston, I will remember the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge. What a gift to the community... Form & Function!
We only drove across this and saw tons of people walking and biking this. Just driving across this during sunset gave us some incredible views of Charleston and the waterfront.
The Ravenel Bridge is an architectural wonder and more than worth a trip to see and cross it. Simple one of the most beautiful bridges I have ever seen.
While visiting the city I went on a few runs and one was over this bridge. While running I really got a feel for the bridge and although it is a tough run it was a wonderful experience. The bridge not only spans the distance between Charleston and its large neighboring town of Mount Pleasant but it adds so much to the atmosphere of the city. The modern bridge adds a great contrast to the classic look of so many buildings throughout the city.
recommed walking the bridge,go above and go below too.there is a nice pier below.best whe warm and sun is shining.
5 mile round trip on pedestrian and bike path. Nice views and well designed. Enter bike and pedestrian lane from East Bay Street.
You can walk or bike over the bridge to Mt. Pleasant. Spectacular views! It is a very modern bridge. At night it is lit and beautiful! For those who remember the old bridges, this is definitely a keeper!
We travelled over it and then under it. We went and found a place to take pictures underneath the bridge on the Mt Pleasant side and were amazed that there was a big park hidden there. In the park you can roam and rest and walk around. Great little gem.
