Ok, I enjoyed it more than the 10 year old, but I know she learned stuff and it'll be something she'll appreciate later. Well done program, good food. They finish it off with some truly fun kid activities, like throwing an atlatl and making fire.
We couldn't be happier to hear you describe Crow Canyon tours as "extraordinary experiences in the Southwest." That's what we want our small-group trips to be. Our mission as a nonprofit is archaeological research, education, and collaboration with American Indians--and the kinds of cultural exchange that you mentioned are an important part of what we do. For visitors with less time, we offer an educational day program on Wednesdays and Thursdays, May-September. Reservations required.
This center offers excellent archeological trips through parts of the Southwest, and elsewhere. The staff is helpful. The scholars are knowledgeable. Their trips are a wonderful way to learn about pre-Columbian Southwest cultures. My wife and I love their trips, and enjoy visiting the center when we're otherwise in the area.
