Stopped in for a break and was pleasantly suprised by the offerings. If in the area, you should stop in for local food and crafts.
We went in on a Saturday and it was not too crowded. All the booths were well stocked with nice things to look at. The vendors were nice and really helpful. Nice quaint market.
We went out of our way to visit this market and was very disappointed. With all the markets we have been to in our travels I was expecting more. The advertisements on the resort TV's channel looked appealing and bigger than it was. Sorry.
They had a lot of stuff to look at, however everything was so expensive. I wouldn't be bothered next time.
This stop is worth going out of your way for if you find yourself in the area. I have been visiting this place for years on my drive from Richmond to Harrisonburg, and it has always offered quality products in a very pleasant shopping environment. I also really appreciate the fact that you are supporting local vendors. When visiting here, getting a pretzel from the Pretzel Shop is an absolute must; it is by far the best I have ever had. Jim Melton's Jerky Shoppe also has really great and high quality jerky that is delicious. I also really love to get the cinnamon buns from the Country Village Bake Shop and sit down with a cup of coffee. I think that you cannot go wrong with any of the food products here. There are also some interesting craft shops worth perusing. The only downside is the hours of operation. They operate Thurs - Sat. from 9 am until 6 pm. I unfortunately have tried to stop on occasion to find them closed.
Live in adjoining county. Been coming here for years. Terrific folks in all different shops. Eclectic, warm, homegoodness everywhere. Worth your time to visit.
The market has lovely shops. Extensive work from local artists, great chocolates, a wonderful cheese and bulk food shop. The lamp store has every type of lamp shade. The lace shop has beautiful goods, and Hanks is tasty for a quick lunch.
We make this a destination when we vacation in September. The baked items baked by the Mennonites are delicious. The Cheese Shop is a must and I always leave with two bags of must haves! I was disappointed that the book store had closed as I purchased a hard to find children's book there every year.
Well done, clean and good variety. Check out the lace shop and miniature garden store. We'll certainly revisit.
It was a nice little place to stop in and check out. If I was a local, I would def take advantage of their fresh meat counter. It was butcher-shop quality. I loved the cheese shop. I'd stop here again!
