This was where most of the younger crowd went. It's very hipster. It's small and crowded, and there aren't any cocktail waitresses. You have to order from a very crowded bar, and fight your way back to your seat. Their beer is very strong and full of flavor. It was cheap so that's probably why the young crowd flocks there. Wasn't my cup of beer....I mean "tea"
I chose to do both the tour and a tiny solo beer tasting at the bar following the tour, both were fantastic! The tour guide were very thorough, they were able to give a lot of information in a small amount of time. The tour itself was free, but it runs on a first come, first served basis and they can only have a total of 25 people per tour so get there early! Totally worth it. I stayed after and was lucky enough to snag a seat at the crowded bar and got a sampler which was $3 for 3 beers and $1 per beer sample after that, a great deal! The bartenders (who also lead some of the tours) know what they're talking about. If you don't know what kind of beer to try they help you figure it out. Great beer! Great atmosphere and great staff!
This is just a great place to come with friends and enjoy awesome beers. Inside or outside is perfect. Good people and good fun..
Great vibe. Great beers. Free stickers for days.Awesome swag to buy. Check out their aluminum signs they have for display. Their logos are pretty awesome, so get one for your bar room. Most of the breweries in and around Denver give out stickers for free, you just need to ask them. Also - this place has pickles for sale. I got a jar to bring back to Baltimore. They are pretty tasty!
I take all of my friends here when they come from out of town. The bar staff is amazing and they're always excited to see and meet new people. There is usually dance music on while they're pouring beer. if you come on a slow night, you can play board games with the bartenders. The important part is that they serve great beer. I'd recommend getting at least a flight of beer here, and if you're with a friend, try to span all of the taps. You'll be hard pressed to find something terrible.
If you want good beer, this is the brewery to visit. The bar is a little small, but the beer makes up for it. We tried the beer sampler, 3 choices for 3 dollars. We also did the beer tour which was pretty standard, nothing exciting. There is no charge for the tour. The bartenders were pretty awesome. They suggested going to Snarf's afterwards. We will definitely be going back our next visit to Denver.
We were interested in touring a local brewery. We arrived forty minutes prior to the next scheduled tour, ordered drinks, and let the bartender know we were waiting for the tour. She stated the owner would come out and announce the start of the tour. We waited 45 minutes and nobody ever announced a tour. We then were walking back up to the bartender to ask, and could see that the tour had started with three people (limit was 25), and the bartender never bothered to tell us or let the owner know we were waiting.
Showed up early for the 6pm tour of the brewery... Found that the place had a small seating area... We got a couple of Yetis and Hercules (simply amazing) until the tour started... I must say i was surprised at their quality brews (im really picky with beer) and their tour was really informative. I added this one to my short list of favorite microbreweries... Get the spicy chips and nuts!!!
Visited during the Thanksgiving holidays so the place was a little crowded and noisy, but the beer made up for it. Try the 3 for 3.00 samples then try it again with 3 more. There were 4 of us in our party all of different tastes and all were able to find a "favorite" the Colette was mine.
We arrived into Denver late before heading to the mountains the next day and made it for last call (8pm on Tuesday). Great atmosphere, better beers! Awesome place.
