Great food, service and atmosphere at fair prices for an upscale steakhouse. They provide a side with entrees, unlike, many of the high priced chain steakhouses.
Step back into history. Walk the old time streets of Sutter street in old Folsom. Very small modern changes have been made. Enjoy Hop Sings restaurant. Has been on Sutter Street since at least the 1970s
Until our brief visit en route to Lake Tahoe, all we ever knew of Folsom came from the Man in Black, Johnny Cash. What a delightful place it turned out to be.The older part of town is located on the river, and you cross it via one of several bridges. The river is beautiful with rock outcroppings and some small islets, very picturesque. The shops were offering some interesting Christmas decor, but we had to press on as we needed to continue our trip into the mountains. We did not have much time to walk about the town so it left us with the desire to return to explore it further. We look forward to that day.
Fantastic. My favorite is American Visions..nice people, great art and wonderful gifts. If you love originals of the local scenery, they have it. The service is wonderful and they put on great artist shows.
Nice selection of bars and restaurants, was quiet on a Wednesday Im sure the weekends its jumping. Easy parking, nice look and feel
This historic town has a lot of places to eat and if you like to drink there's plenty of bar's. There are a few antique shops still left. It's a fun place to spend a couple of hours shopping and even a museum. all in all a fun place to visit.
Stroll and peek into the stores. Unfortunately many real antique stores have made way to boutiques and souvenir shoos. But it's an interesting mix. Lick ice cream while you wander, have lunch, there are a variety of places, most are good, the busiest is sometimes not the best.
They added railings and concrete. The updating really detracts from the place. We go here less often
All of the construction on Sutter street a few years ago has paid off immensely. The whole area looks great and hasn't lost its small town charm. Walking around is fun and relaxing. What's unfortunate is that so many of the shops keep very short hours. My wife and I have walked through on Friday and Saturday evenings (not late night, evenings) and were disappointed to see almost all of the shops were closed. It seems odd for them to be closed at, say 6 PM on a Saturday night, because that's when folks are out walking around. The restaurants are all open, and there are some great ones (Hopsings is still our personal favorite), but after dinner your options are quite limited.
Nice place to walk around and do a little antique or Christmas ornament shopping. Nice places to eat as well.
