went for the fishing. manatees, snook, sharks tarpon... lots of fish being caught on a windy day but had great fun. bathrooms, dog friendly, benches grills. really nice all age friendly park. I would think parkin would be a challange in the summer not that many spots maybe 100.
This place is gorgeous! It's a super place to relax, watch the fishermen, spot a manatee in the wild and relax in the sun. It's in walking distance to places to buy cool drinks and enjoy the day. Love it.
What a joke, I have been here at least 4 times since the corp starting work here, all I ever see is so called workers sit around, one girl has a job sitting with her dog watching the beach all day. The built a single wooded cross walk over their dreding hose, not thinking that a million people come here and there isn't enough room for someone in a wheel chair, why it is not wider is typical government thinking. It is sad but as they add sand, you can see it be washed back into the ocean, only cost 5 million or so, lets see if it lasts a year. Otherwise typical corp of engineer job, over spending, no accountabiltiy.
Beautiful! The Inlet Park has been renovated and is brightly colored, crisp & clean. A place the whole family can enjoy :-)
Facilities are very nice here, lots of trails, beautiful beach. I'd like it even more if it wasn't so much for entry. Not a place for people wanting to fish from the beach, though, due to the high numbers of surfers enjoying the backwash from the jetty.
This lovely park beckons you as you enter North Hutchinson Island. With Plenty of parking and a beach of almost 5 miles long it is uncluttered with people no matter how many come. Families, couples and singles come and enjoy the grass, the sand and the water. There are surfers, kite flyers , surf fisherman, families with little children, old people and many other groups here. Very popular on the weekend it is almost deserted during the week. Bring your own food in coolers as there are not facilites to purchase food unless you get it on the mainland or the convenience mart almost opposite the entrance. There is one restaurant there as well as is a gas station.
Sweet place and lovely walk. A quiet laid back place to hang out in the sun and watch seagulls, pelicans and just nothing......
I have to brag, we have the most beautiful beaches on the East Coast of Florida. The Park on the oceanside at low tide is my favorite place to be, it is breathtaking, lots of beach to accomodate! Love it!
This park has limited items for activities, Great for beach walking. Or surfing activites. The Hammock trail was disappointing but a nice short walk in the 'forest'.
You have picnic tables, a long beach with big groups of 3-4 different kind of birds, and a bit inland the "Hammock trail", that can continue on the "Red Bay Run trail" that are quite pleasant, with interesting explanation of the plants of this "real Florida" area.
