Wow! This place has everything! Authentic Nasa equipment that was actually used, simulators, classes and films on the space agency. Heck even a really cool gift shop! This place is great for schools, groups or just fails looking to have a great time. Do yourselves a favor and go!
We came to Columbus to see our son graduate from Fort Benning, we came home with some historic knowledge. We visited the Center with 3 teenagers and they were fascinated with the star movie and the little rocket rides. They had a blast.
I've been several times to visit columbus Ga, and the science musume is one of my favorite stopping point.. The staff is friendly, the flight simulators are fun, and the exhibits are interesting and they feel current.Three times a year the host a Comicbook and toy convention and it just adds value to what they are tring to offer the community..
I thought it would be much larger but was disappointed with the size for the price paid. There are flight and landing simulators with out fee and a planitarium showbut overall was not happy with the price paid.
We had a great time but it was very small. I think they may be renovating. Had fun on the dog fight simulator. The planetarium was nice. They show different movies throughout the day. I recommend doing the science center and then taking a stroll on the river walk and visiting the small park across the street.
It was nice to see the planetarium show but after that not much in there to do. They charge $6 a person which if you didn't see the show you would be through it in 30 minutes tops. Ok for small kids.
This has our second visit to the Coca-cola space science center. The first time was for a Starwars convention. This time we were killing time while in columbus. If you have gone to NASA in Houston or Cape Canaveral you will be disappointed.
The ccssc has a lot of fun activities for you to do, There are several planetarium shows and interactive activities for the family to take part in. From driving a remote control Mars type rovers to seeing how much heat your body is giving off to landing the Space Shuttle in a simulator to fling a fighter jet in a moving simulator. One cool thing that is there is when NASA space program decommissioned the Shuttle program they donated some the parts to the center. how often do you get to see and touch something that has been in space right? They also have several sci fi and comic book shows during the year to satisfy your inner geek. I met Batman (WOW). A fun place to visit.
I went for the first time and had a blast .So many cool things to check out. Plan on taking my son soon. Great place to visit.
Very interesting for the teacher and the students a great experience for all that love the history of our great space program.Thank you all so much!
