This is a really nice campground and very close to many attractions. It is well maintained and the camp staff was very friendly. I would not hesitate to come back for a moment. There is very little car traffic in the campground so it is a good place for small children to bike around. There is plenty of space between each campsite.
This state park was such a pleasant surprise. Beautiful views of the mountains. Big enough to not feel crowded. Clean and well maintained. Dressing rooms and bathrooms were nice but would have liked a shower. Will be going back again and again.
this place is never crowded and never littered. plenty of shade and the fishing is pretty good. i have been to many state parks and this is one of our family favorites. its just far enough away from boston for a day trip.
Practically grew up on the 'Big Lake' & Ellacoya has one of the best views around. Small NH State RV Campground, quiet & close to local attractions... My sister & her family stay there for a week every summer... just lovely....
2 Memorial Day weekends in a row, that should tell you something. This place is amazing, very flat, easy setup, three-way hookups, nice grass open sites. No camp fires at individual sites which is a let down, but understandable, as I asked the rangers why it is....due to al the campers being so close together with propane tanks on all....so, community camp fire it is!! We also hike Mt. Major again this year. All around fun Fun FUN!!!
Ellacoya State Park is a great public camping area directly on the water. There on no other public camping areas that I know with access to the Big Lake.
Great place for the Timberman Triathlon. The lake is beautiful and so clean. It is a nice set up for the race.
A well organized triathlon for many years now, but for the parking. Volunteers could be given a bit more courtesy.
This is the best public beach on Winnipesaukee . It is very shallow, clean and even has a small sandbar. There is a shop for typical beach items and foods. Swings, slides, volleyball pit and charcoal grills. Easily spend the whole day here if you've got kids. There is a small parking fee that helps maintain the park.
