The Bull & Bush is an east Denver institution. They make their own beer which is fabulous, and their own root beer. Chicken wings and fish and chips are great. This is a very popular place, so there is usually a wait unless you get there by 5 pm. Downside is the place really needs a thorough cleaning.
We've been going here for about 25 years now. They brew their own beers, and no matter what your taste is, they have it! The fish and chips are obviously one of the best around as any dish they prepare. And Sunday nights are free jazz and Dixieland jazz nights. AMAZING!!! This music just livens up your entire year. The wait staff is always helpful and friendly, and by the late model expensive European cars that are always in the parking lot - it appears that those people are clearly world travelers and know what's great tasting. Plus, it's locally owned which is always a plus in my book. Not only do I recommend, but a visit to Denver is not complete without going there again and again. And if you live here, you'll want to make it a weekly visit.
This is my favorite brewery/pub in Colorado so far. They had a great selection of delicious beer, I had the Amber ale, very smooth! The portions of food were very large, tons of "pub fries" and quite tasty! I can't wait to go back!
The food was pretty good and it was very laid back restaurant. The locals seem to enjoy the place also
This was our introduction to Denver. it was convenient to our hotel, so we gave it a try. To sum it up: Good burgers, fun atmosphere, neat building.....but loud. Our service was good too.
This is not for the gourmet. I didn't have the wings, but they looked good. I nachos, which were average at best. It is a fun place to go, but I wouldn't go back. There was a wait on Friday night. It is a good choice if it isn't crowded and all you want is some cool atmosphere and a burger.
I ordered the "El-Bull-Rito" This thing was huge and tasted awesome! It has everything inside. Beans, cheese, meat of your choice and all the works.
Wonderful restaurant and pub, our food was excellent and served promptly. Their brewery beer was great I especially enjoyed the Man Beer. This is a super choice for those looking to avoid the chain restaurant corporate experience. Be sure to check out the patio on nice days and evenings.
Have been going here for many years but had taken a couple off before heading out for fish and chips a couple weeks ago. It's like walking into a giant barrel - the lighting, the atmosphere, the smells. That's a real compliment if you're looking for a great pub that reminds you of England. A real gem hidden in Glendale. Next time you are in the mood for a fish fry and drought, do yourself a favor and check it out.
Recommended by hotel. Place was packed. Waiter said it's like that every night. Excellent food, equally good service. Noisy and friendly pub. Reasonable prices. Large portions. Recommend highly.
