Anyone can hike this trail. Fairly flat and easy to walk. We hiked all the way in where we saw the parking lot on the other side. Beautiful scenery and beautiful gigantic rocks! Don't miss it!
Perhaps the best thing about Park Avenue at Arches is that it is the first major stop in and the last out of the park. Thus, you have ample opportunities to view this magnificent scene with all kinds of lighting and shadows. The trail is relatively easy, winding down from the parking area to the Courthouse Viewpoint. But whether you walk the trail or just photograph it at various times of the day from its viewpoint, you will not be disappointed. It is "perfect" any time of day.
I love all the beautiful colors of rocks and the way they all looked. The arches are so amazing. I still can't believe all of the rocks were under water a long time ago.
算是比较轻松的trail 两旁山体很好好大,走在中间感觉挺爽好像全长一千米多吧,基本平路,但还是要注意带水,热啊不过最壮观的角度还是在南面的入口处
While this easy mile hike has absolutely stunning views of the formations from below, don't forget to check out the stone you're walking on. There are amazing things to see literally in all directions here. This is a truly magical area, although you're unlikely to see it alone even during off season.
What a valley. You park at the head of a valley of rock formations on either side of you. A gradual paved trail leads to an overlook, and from there can walk the length of the entire valley if you choose. Most walk one way and there is a parking lot at the other end of the trail where you can be picked up by someone that helped by moving your car. Spectacular any time of the day!
We started at the Park Avenue Viewpoint and hiked to the Courthouse Tower parking lot and back. If you have 2 vehicles you can do a one-way but it is not a long hike (2 miles round trip). There are not any arches here but the views are still beautiful of the sandstone walls. And the view changes as the light changes during the day. If you are only going one way you might want to know that the trail runs downhill from the Park Avenue Viewpoint to the Courthouse Tower parking lot. You can get some wonderful pictures from the Park Avenue Viewpoint if you don't have time for the hike.
Well, this trail is not a round trip. You can walk up or down, but you need another person to pick you up on the parking lot. If not you have to hike back. It is very nice place with big rock formations on both sides. My opinion is that overlook on the highest part is enough and close to the parking lot. Walk the Devils Garden if you would like to see the core of Arches.
It's only a mile each way but easy'ish walking. We did the round trip and being in amongst the rocks you see such different views than anything you'd see from the car park.
This place is so aptly named. If the arches represented delicateness, the towering huge rocks and the way they are aligned side by side on either sides into the horizon represented boldness and strength.A picture in contrast if this is what you are looking for.
