I always take about 20 dollars and pull out at this casino halfway to the beach every time I'm on my way out there. Because I know that when I go in there I'm going to have a nice buffet or a nice meal at a reasonable price I can do a little bit of gambling without going crazy and then I can head on to the coast. I love the casino experience and I don't know why it is it seems that they attract all the smokers in the world and I'm not totally anti smoking everybody has a right to decide for themselves but they have never figured out a ventilation system that gets it out of the year. But even a side from that I always have a great time when I visit this casino and people are very nice to me there. & I have won a few dollars going through there I think we're probably about even steven of those. Its just a nice break in the middle of your drive to the beach. Get something to eat play a few slots and hit the road. I recommend you stop off nice casino.
Came for the night to see the Jay Leno show, stayed in the lodge and dined in the buffet. The Leno show was fantastic. As always, the casino is a lot of fun, not too smokey and the staff is attentive and friendly. We love the Sex and the City slots and the Wonka slots. Also had a great time at blackjack. The dealers were funny and personable. The casino is nicely laid out and easy to access from the lodge. We've been many times and will definitely be back.
This is a fun place to go as long as you remember it's for fun sometimes you get lucky sometimes you make a donation.
The casino is fairly large and continues to change. I have been heading down here about 2-3 times a year for the past 16 years to play. I am not a heavy gambler, and usually only bring a few hundred dollars, but I have walked out of the casino with several times my money in the past, and of course, left with no more money in my wallet. I think the slot machines are pretty fair at returns, unlike some other Oregon casinos. I do wish they had more old school $1 machines & less 100 line penny machines, but that is how the age of technology works I guess. Will continue to go for some cheap entertainment.
Great Casino. We have been to several others and none compare. It's not TO smokey and the machines are new and upbeat. A lot of other casinos have outdated machines. The floor attendants are friendly and housekeeping is right on top of keeping the trash off the floor. This is our destination for a good time out away from the kids:)
Don't go to gamble the machines are VERY TIGHT I've been now 6 times and wasted more then I care to divulge. I will probably never go back since the machines are so tight - you're better off going to your local watering hole and trying your luck. Even vegas would have been less expensive!
This casino is fun, the staff is terrific, the rooms are immaculate, and the food at the Legends Restaurant is fantastic. Nothing to dislike!
I am not bitter that I lost. I expect that when I am at a casino. I expect a few crabby people and workers as it is not a lot of fun to be in a smoke filled, people puking, and losing their money environment. I think the most memorable part of my experience is when I was in the bathroom and a security officer had come to check on a customer. Someone had complained that the guest was taking too long in the bathroom. The security officer had to ask if the customer wanted an ambulance. The guest responded by explaining they had eaten at the buffet and now had to poop a lot. They wanted the customer to sign paperwork that stated they were refusing medical care. The rest of the evening I stopped drinking the free soda as I didn't want security to come after me if I peed too much. I walked around to the different machines and played cards. Most of the card dealers were super nice. I felt sorry for them though. Their supervisors were jerks. I am surprised anyone wants to work in a place like this and be treated in this fashion. While staying at the hotel I overhead the staff talking about having to put a room out because of bed bugs. After this last experience I realized that gambling really is better at the beach.
After seeing some of the negative reviews, I had to leave my humble opinion. This place was a blast. I had a beautifully furnished deluxe king, non-smoking room. $109 was reasonable for the quality of the accommodations. Folks that think this is pricey need to get out more. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The casino was fun and clean. Yes, there is some smoke in the air but overall the casino does a good job with air circulation. The slots were not paying very well when I was there so I switched to blackjack. I had a blast!!!! I played 4 or 5 different tables with numerous dealers. The dealers were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Several of the dealers were even kind enough to offer advice. I played with some great folks until 3am.The food was excellent and affordable at the Sports Bar and Summit lounge. Drinks other than beer however are a little pricey. I did not dine at Legends or the buffet. I was always served quickly and friendly. People that say the staff are unfriendly should probably smile and be more friendly themselves. So you don't think I have an investment in the casino, I'll give you my opinion on making this a better place. (1) Loosen up the slots (2) More wait staff on the floor (3) Lower the drink prices. These three items kept my review from being a solid 5 star.I will be back!!!!!! Dave
I'm a gambler by nature and have spent many hour/days in casinos in the past and a few since. I'm a poker and Blackjack player, (table) but I don't like face up blackjack so I never played. I did humor my wife however and sat with her to play some machines. The poker machines are very tight and I mean tight. $20 went through like water through a downspout. They do have many many penny and nickle slots and games of every kind except Blackjack machines so you can play for awhile without losing much. The casino has smoking and non smoking areas with actually very well filtered air. Drinks on floor, Keno and all the usual comforts, food, drinks and games. My wife gives it four stars I give it three. IMO they should change to face down Blackjack and add tables. Even if I wanted to play there were no empty chairs except for the $50-$500 table. Another upside of the whole complex was the parking lot, it was patrolled by both vehicle and bicycle security personnel.
