This park is right on the Rogue River, is beautifully maintained and has a path to walk right down to the river's edge plus a boat ramp. There is plenty of room to run and an RV park for camping.
Stayed in a yurt for a week, we loved it! Great camp hosts, very clean facilities, dog park, kid park, little beach area&boat ramp, badminton or volleyball net and easy firewood from the host... they delivered!
The dog portion of this park is also wonderful and well kept. It has a nice fenced area for both large breed dogs as well as one for small breed (20# or less). If you want to come and stay in the park area there are real nice spots for your RV plenty of nice shade and very well kept grounds. Has a nice play area for the younger ones and also a boat ramp accessing the Beautiful Rogue River which boarders the length of the park.Harold & Doris Grants Pass, OR
They just built a new playground, which is nice, but you have to pay $4 for a park fee just to even park and play! No way! We will just go to Riverside or Parkside Elementary and play there.
Poor sanitary conditions; portocabin was filthy. Twice we saw dog poop on tent sites. Bad form!Obviously more geared to people with an RV, still campers pay as well and should be afforded beter sanitary facilities
Two fenced off-leash areas - one for large dogs and one for small dogs. Our dog loved it and its right on the Rogue River.
What a wonderful place to unwind. Tall trees for shade, Lots of grass, very near the water, Rogue River is near and shallow water for wading. Five miles from civilazation and (Ice). Next door is a very large grassy, shaded dog park with two sections, little and big dogs. Dog park has benches and lots of shade. Also, a tennis court in same area. Fire wood delivery for $5.00. Enough for two roaring fires. Also, a boat dock if you have a boat. Park run by county but reservations thru state park reservation system.
If you go down the river on a personal raft this is a great place to pull out of the river. There is a small boat ramp for boats and/or rafts. There is also a small campground complete with yurts and/or places to bring your RV. Picnic tables and plenty of shade right on the river! Oh, and you can swim or fish in the river too!
We live 5 miles from Schroeder Park and take advantage of its proximity often. Our favorite occasion is RV'ing with friends and family; this August we parked our 5th wheel for the weekend and enjoyed rafting the Rogue to our campsite. Schroeder Park is a wonderful park for a picnic or a week long stay in the Rogue Valley.
Camped a few nights in August at this campground. Lovely location right next to Rogue river. Although you can't swim in the river, it is nice to see the boats come by. The campground itself wasn't busy. The restrooms and showers were quite a long walk away. Especially at night, not pleasant. The grounds didn't seem to be cleaned often. There were dirty diapers, napkins, and plastic containers everywhere. Like the previous poster said, there was also dog poop to be found. Disgusting! Especially with two young kids. This campground could be really nice if it was maintained better.
