Many thanks for your kind review Annie! We are very fortunate to still have a number of ex trawlermen, as well as very passionate local heritage enthusiasts, that work with us at the centre. We want to you get as close to understanding the Great Grimsby of the 1950's as possible! We're thrilled you enjoyed your visit! Many thanks.

A historical step back in time with the sounds and smells of the past. A good depiction of what life was like on board a trawler an in the old houses.
Many thanks for your review! We're pleased that your grandaughter and yourself enjoyed it!Kind regards,GFHC
Had a great day out this week at this Heritage Centre. John Grantham gave our party and excellent tour of both the Ross trawler and the museum and all the staff both at the Centre and in the café were friendly and helpful.
This is a great little museum and at £12 for the family priced just right. If you go you should do the tiger tour (the trawler) John was our guide and was fantastic. It's not a full day out by any means but well worth a visit.
We're thrilled that you enjoyed your experience with us.Many thanks for your support!Kind regards,GFHC
Many thanks for taking the time to review us! It's great to hear that you enjoyed your visit.Kind regards,GFHC
In Grimsby looking at where my old grandparents grew up in 1910's.Saw the sign for the centre and popped in for a visit.Didn't know what to expect. An experience of leaving the dockside to being thrown on a wheel house and a stormy deck of a trawler until ending up at a fish shop.It was better and more interesting than I expected. With scents and sounds and temperature changes throughout the museum.I'm guessing the old trawler docked along side will form part of the museum soon. The museum itself is not very interactive and probably needs a little bit of a update but on the whole good experience.Cafe and wifi
