This casino is small and smoky. Not a large variety of machines and too many lotto machines. It seemed dirty and too crowded for a Thursday afternoon. Barely any food choices. We won’t be back.
Vegas style casino in Florida nice attractionWith outdoor strip outside. Hard Rock did a nice job.....if your in the area Check it out
This is the sister to the hard rock nest door and features lower table limits. We had a very friendly and knowledgeable dealer and the food options were reasonable.
Next time go to Hard Rock much better atmosphere and a lot more slots to chose from. This casino is old and run down. Looks like more locals go here, saw a lot of Florida plates. Not very busy so probably doesn't pay out much.
Flew to Ft. Lauderdale to escape the Wisconsin cold. This casino is not as big or flashy as the Hard Rock next door, but it's clean and offers lower stake table games to help make your bankroll last longer. There's a small food court next to the bingo parlor and all reasonable prices throughout the place. On a 5 day trip, we came here 3 of the days. I actually did well at the blackjack tables!
I come here every time I am in the area. I have been to Las Vegas, this casino more resembles Vegas than a typical local casino. It still has some older machines, which are great. It has a ton of restaurants and a shopping mall. It has good shows ( I saw Aretha Franklin) . Yes, smoking is permitted! That's one of the reasons I like it. They do have non smoking sections. There is free parking there.
Unfortunately I have noticed some reviewers have mistaken the Seminole Hollywood Casino with the much larger Seminole Hard Rock Casino which is next door. I am surprised that the original smaller casino didn't shut down when the large one next door opened, but I guess there's no lack of gamblers. Also many older folks probably find the Hard Rock too chaotic, especially on weekends. I thought the air at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino was foul with cigarette and cigar smoke, but the air at the Seminole Hollywood Casino is far worse. We sometimes would visit just for their fairly priced $7.77 buffet which included seafood and prime rib, but sadly it was discontinued. If you are a new customer and sign up for a Player's club card, it comes with free play. As long as you don't waste it all, you can go home with a few extra dollars in your pocket. Parking is free.
This is a decent casino, run by a big corporation. I visited on the weekend, and found the table limits to be too high for my liking, so I didn't play any. I returned during the week, to see a little lower table limits, and I did play then. I found the dealer I interacted with to be very friendly and pleasant. I did have to interact with slot staff, after one of the machines malfunctioned immediately after taking my money. I found the service to be quick and helpful. The rock 'n roll memorabilia on the walls around the place was nice to look through. The restaurants and other shops were overpriced (as you can expect in any casino). I found parking to be plentiful, and getting in and out was very easy. I enjoyed my visit, and I would return. If the table limits are low enough, I would play again too!!!
We saw the Seinfeld show and had good seats. The only improvement that could be made is the parking situation. We did valet parking which was $20 and the line to drop off our car and pick it up at the end was very long even though the guys working there were literally running to do their jobs as quickly as they could. Maybe it was just extra crowded that night?
The venue itself is well taken care off. Nice carpets, the smoking areas have filtration systems above them so it doesn't smell bad, the bathrooms seems to be cleaned every time someone uses it... Considering the money that get made here, it should be like that! The Casino itself, separate from the whole complex, is inviting and while I was a little daunted at first I soon grew accustomed to it. They've got a good Vegas-inspired menu and the whole place is connected to the Hard Rock Hotel complex and the other clubs and music venues so this is a one-stop destination for many of your entertainment needs. Every time that I've gone, the place had been well attended to packed. It's a nice place to people watch... Let's be honest though, your take on the place is going to be all about whether you're up or down. When I was rolling high I felt like the servers were perfect in asking if I wanted and then bringing me drinks. When I was down I felt as if they were part of grand conspiracy to distract me from the game at hand. I wasn't really that paranoid, but you get the picture. Definitely a great place to check out on the weekend or for a special event! It's unique for the area and has a lot of charm, but having been to Vegas and AC, the smallness of the area means that the grandness is there, but limited.
