Rip Roaring is great for family rafting. There are multiple levels of difficulties so there is a trip for everyone. The staff is focused on your safety and enjoyment. This place is seriously lacking the frills and amenities of other places but it is cheaper and fewer people. We had Jaredd as our guide and he was knowledgeable and fun. A must for your trip to Tennessee.
We loved the experience. Our guide was great, knowledgeable and he seemed to really enjoy his job. Great for beginners or families with young children. Bathrooms need to be cleaned and showers didn't work. Everyone that works there smokes and just couldn't seem to get away from the smoke and smell. Overall the actual trip was great and lots of fun. Would definitely use them again. One thing that I did notice is once we got to drop off, it went much smoother and much quicker than the larger companies. I was also impressed by how they helped other companies as well (one lost a paddle and a swimmer). He caught his paddle and waited to make sure they were safely back in their boat before we moved on.
This was an incredible trip. My friend and I had a blast with each other and the other group on the boat with us. Our guide, Joe D, was terrific. He was fun, nice, and really knew what he was doing.I even talked to him afterward about some stuff, and he was very helpful about everything and wanted everyone to have the best experience that they could.
Rip Roaring Adventures did an excellent job hosting, coordinating and making for a great trip for my family and me. Travis is a excellent river guide, and he seemed very genuine in his desire for his customers to enjoy themselves.
My family just went in July of 2014 and we had Joe as our guide. He was amazing. It was our families first time whitewater rafting and he taught us how to raft very quickly and safely. We had an amazing time and their company has the longest trip. It's WELL WORTH THE MONEY. So GO HERE. Great trip!!!
We got lost in that area 30 minutes late crew waited for me and my family. This was first time rafting with my family Other company would have left us crew was great. We had A blast Khan
I've been in Gatlinburg twice to whitewater raft but first time at Rip Roaring Adventures. We had Woody as our guide, he was really good. He knew the area and gave us advice on other things to do while we were here.
Woody is the best rafting guide in the world. If u go to Rip Roaring Adventures I'd advise u to get Woody!!!! He's the best.
This was our second time rafting with rip roaring adventures. It was just as fun as the first time. Our guide Woody was great .
We went into this experience uncertain of whether it was what we wanted to do, but it was no doubt very enjoyable. Take the trip on a hot day and you will enjoy the cold water and beautiful views for the full two hours. Our guide Joe D was fantastic in his knowledge of the river and historical information regarding the area. We even got the chance to jump in the water and feel the river current ourselves. Would definitely recommend to anybody capable of rowing and having fun!
