Park has lots of activities for snowlovers. Make sure to check when the skate trail opens, so you can time arriving at the park before hand, and avoid the long line-up to get into the park.
Trails have been flooded and you are able to skate through the forest from 3-9pm along a tiki lit skate trail. Benches to lace up your skates and a outside bomb fire to roast some hot dogs when your done .Also tubing and cross country skiing at location. A great family and couple destination!
Hit the skating trail and hiked to the waterfall and jumped in the snow… Will be back in the summer.
We skated on the outdoor skating trail through the forest, and also the same day , we went x-country skiing. We had a fantastic time, highly recommended.
While we visited Arrowhead for the skating, we were pleasantly surprised at all the entertainment options for our winter day visit. While waiting for the ice to open, we were pointed towards the tubing hill which, while I was somewhat apprehensive, was an absolute blast. The track reminds me a little of a bobsled track with walls on each side of the chute with gentle bends and small hills which might be jumps if you could somehow muster up a lot more speed. The workout is still for the return to the top in the climb. there are several hiking trails as well as snowshoeing and crosscountry skiing options as well. Well worth the price of admission.
Beautifully groomed trails in a fantastic setting. Lots of options for every ability level. Also skated on their groomed trail/rink.
Snowshoeing trails - about 2 hour trails with kids - skating on a trail through the bush, tubing down a hill = a super fun day. We love coming here.
The skating loop was a lot of fun. We also went on a snowshoe trail, it was well marked and easy to follow.
I can't say enough about Arrowhead Provincial Park.We girls rented the newly built cabins they have on site 2 night split between us all .Very reasonable all activities included, barbecue supplied and some kitchen utensials also.Nice and quiet we felt alone in the park Only skating was busy but we waited till the crowd dispersed skated late at night.Showers did not disaspoint nice hot water, bathrooms clean but some ran out of toilet paper.I'm sure they didn't expect the people they had on saturday. The only thing i would like to see is the clealiness of the cabins to be address i understand they are always rented but they need to clean the fan blade and give it a good vacuum behind and under beds very dusty.maybe once a week not every cleaning.Loved it .Coming back in three years hope things are the same.On last thing staff was incredible and very accomodating. Thanks a million.
The skating trail is awesome. Beautiful scenery and good quality ice. Well maintained. We went on a Saturday though and it was very busy. So much better than a standard rink.
