Eric was so calm and gentle and just being around him made you relax. I can see why certain people have a gift with animals, humans included. I have ridden horses a few times in my life, mostly as a child and my husband was a newbie. They did a wonderful job explaining all the basics and off we went for a ride words don't describe well so you'll just have to do it! We rode on the beach as the sun set looking out over at Raiatea and Tahaa. Then through the woods and into the lake as the full moon sat on top of the mountain. I just can't do it justice. I loved this island the most of all the islands we visited. It's more beautiful than Bora Bora, the excursions we did here the most memorable of our trip and the people are just beautiful spirits.
We took the horseback tour with Anne Celine and Erich and it exceeded expectations. The crossing of the lagoon on horseback was a highlight. The horses are gentle and well behaved and Erich was very capable and mellow guide.
We were met right when we got off the tender. There was another couple from the ship and Eric loaded us into his pick up truck and off we went. It was a bit of a drive but it was a great drive. When we got to the farm Eric introduced us to Christine, our guide, and our horses. We were given helmets and instructions and then off we went. Christine led us down a quiet road, along the shore of the ocean, along by the airport and into a wonderful inland lake. The horses loved it. They splashed around and grunted in joy. We walked in the water up to their bellies for about 15 min. Then back to the farm where we were given ice cold water. On the way back to the ship Eric stopped by the ocean to point out some islands and then up to a beautiful lookout. Eric is very soft spoken and loves his life and horses. Christine is learning English and was very attentive.Although all of us had been riding before we asked for a nice calm ride and that is what we received.Thank you Eric and Christine.
We are really sorry you missed our horseback riding. We closed "La Petite Ferme" one month in june, for the first time in five years. We are usually open every day in the year, and this was unfortunatly an exeption.
Merci pour votre avis, et votre recommandation sur ce site.
Just wanted to note for the record that this establishment is not exclusively for horse-back riding without the former pension. My rating is required for submission of this comment, but I know nothing of the place beyond that it is closed for overnight visitors. Sounds fun though!
Don't know what to think about this place. Made a reservation for a sunset ride months on line months in advance and got an email confirmation, only to arrive and have our hotel tell us the place had called and cancelled us. There was apparently a larger group that had arrived since our reservation was confirmed. They place offered us a morning ride as an alterntive but since it was our anniversary we wanted to ride at sunset. Then, after adjusting to this, the hotel advised that the horse place had room for us on the sunset ride we wanted after all!! Too bad we had made other plans by then. Don't know what we did wrong or how to avoid this, but if you want to go, you may want to book on the spot rather than on line in advance. Things are different in different parts of the world.
Il y avait peu de choix de perle et la plupart des perles étaient cheres mais nous avons trouvé notre perle pour un futur collier...
This isn't your normal horseback trail riding for sure!!! We started out with a walk on the beach and got to run the horses twice. The most incredible part of the trip was walking the horses through the huge esturary lake! We went in so deep that the water almost covered the horses backs totally!! A very special and unique experience on Huahine!!!
Thankyou very much for this lovely comment! We were very happy to receive you and share this passion we have with horses with you.Kind regardsAnne-Céline et Eric
