The most beautiful around Itacaré. You can eat very cheap tapioca, only 15 minutes by walk in the forest. There is very few people there, you feel like it's your private beach. Good waves for surf beginners. Nice beach for kids with a river. 15 minutes from Itacaré by car. Our favorite beach there
It has a small bar where they serve coconut water. A down mountain Riozinho that hot water is clear despite the reddish color due to the iron minerals. Has high rocks in the end where you can take beautiful pictures but do not take bath in these locations. Bathe only on the beach. In all the beaches we visited the city together the owners should provide selective collection and educate users to take the waste. On this beach there are ancient buildings of a hotel that unsightly landscape on the trail that leads to the site. A partnership with the Navy and tourism agencies would be very welcome for the Environment.
I would recommend taking a tour with an agency that has vans to their customers. You can also take the bus leaving from the city bus station (Rodoviaria). Make sure you keep the bus schedule and be patient. Bus punctuality in Brazil is not the best. Expect a 15 - 30 min. delay.Engenhoca is wonderful. After you take off from the bus ride, there´s a 30 min. hike to arrive at the beach and there´s a small river that meets the ocean. It´s great to enter it after swimming in the ocean, so you get rid of the salt. There´s a small bar selling some snacks, beer, water and soft drinks. The price is higher than in Itacare, but it´s still ok.
This beach was basically designed for surfing. Given the amount of waves it receives and the force at which they approach, not necessarily great for swimming. However, as a beginner surfer it provided the perfect classroom for a full day of learning to ride the waves due to the protected nature at least on one side. Not much infrastructure which is great. However, it does meant that you have to provide for yourself (water, food).
Great beach for surf. After a 15 minutes of a light trail, you will find this very beautiful beach and a small river where you can swin. There is only one tent to sell water and coconut water, so remember to bring your food if you decide to spend the day, and don´t forget to pick up your trash. ;)
For me for sure the best beach to surf. Im still learning to surf and I got my first waves on this beach. Its also a really beautiful scenery. Love how the rainforest meets the beach. You have to walk about 30 min before you arrive on the beach but it's all worth it! There is a small cabine that sells coconuts and tapioca!
In late afternoon (about 15:00 to 16:00) the light on a clear day is absolutely stunning. The shape of the beach, the river flowing into it are particularly beautiful. It maybe my favourite beach of the 14 I visited in Itacare.
