Quaint, clean, good food, nice location. Pool could be a little cleaner. Working log fireplace in room. Very charming and interesting.
Peaceful, Tranquile, Amazing Spa on Lake Simcoe. Wonderful getaway just North of Toronto. Safe family enviroment with great events for one and all. Serene Lake Simcoe entices you to return year after year. Great Golf Course, nature walks, and the town of Georgina is picture perfect.
Don't let the yardage fool you - if you aren't in the fairway then you will need all your golf skills to make par. The course was in excellent condition - pro shop and restaurant staff all were very friendly. It's a very challenging golf course and one that you will certainly enjoy. Roughly 30 minutes or less from Aurora.
The course was in very good condition. I walked the 18 and it was not an overly difficult course layout. It provided enough challenges to make it fun. The back nine is really open and has some good scenic views.
This is a nice country charm Hotel. The food was average ate lunch while I played with some friends who are members. Golf was nothing to write home about but nothing bad to say either.
Awesome golf course that you can easily walk and is in excellent shape (although bunkers could use a little more sand). A classic course that is challenging (14 handicap) and fun to play! Beautiful in the fall!
Great maintenance, god design, attentive marshals, surprisingly good lunch counter, and talking with the members was interesting. Loved it!
There's a practice green out front, and a "driving range" just beyond it. I put the range in quotation marks because you can only hit short irons from it, but it's good enough for a warm up.If you're a skilled golfer with a low handicap, this course probably won't challenge you very much, but you'll still enjoy it. I'm not a great golfer at all, but the course wasn't intimidating. Wide fairways from every tee, and not much water to deal with. A couple of tricky sand traps do come into play. The course is well taken care of, and the greens are in perfect condition, or at least they were when I was there. The back 9 seemed more scenic than the front, but the whole thing is very nice.A drink cart came around about 3 times during the round. They sell beer and such. A tallboy of beer was $7.50. At the turn on hole 9 you can run in and grab a hotdog or hamburger as well, but you need to be quick about it.If the weather cooperates, you'll have a good time on this golf course and you'll want to play it again. The course is not actually part of the Briars resort, so I'm not sure if there's deals for playing there while you stay at the resort. Call ahead.
Just right. Challenging for some. Just perfect for most.
Beautifully kept but very busy on a Sunday - the round took us 5 hours. There were marshals on hand which helped to keep things going as smoothly as possible.
