Very easy, level hike to the glacier. Beautiful views along the way and at the glacier. Definitely recommend for all ability levels.
The trail is well maintained and is an easy walk. The last area has rocks if you want to get closer - which we did. Beautiful view of the glacier.
We stopped on our way down to Seward from Anchorage. It's an easy hike to this accessible glacier and lots of fun to walk on it, take some fun pictures and sit a while and enjoy it. Don't miss it.
Beautiful glacier and fun to play on. Easy walk. Sad to see how much the glacier has receded in the past few years. Powerful display of Gods handiwork!
This is a really easy dayhike to a scenic moraine. When we did it in August there was no snow left and you can't really access the glacier, but the hike is so pleasant and easy that everyone should at least give it a try.
You'll have to park and hike maybe half a mile to see this glacier, but it's neat because you get the frontal view and then you can walk around/on it. Usually, there is a cool cavern right at the mouth for a photo-opportunity.
This place is a hidden gem. If you would like to actually get on a glacier, touch it, or walk on it, this is for you. We hiked for about 2 to 3 hours here. It was well worth it. It was fun jumping across the stones in the river. We even got to touch the glacier, you just don't realize how massive the structure is.
We could actually go and walk on the glacier, sit on the glacier and have loads of fun. The hike is pretty easy and no sweat! Highly recommended.
We did this on our Cook Inlet drive and really enjoyed the experience of being able to walk on a glacier. The path to it was of a very high standard and accessibility was very easy. Really fun and beautiful colours on the glacier.
saw glacier and walked by snow, ice and river. lots of rocks to climb on.kept the kids busy. was not cold as a reviewer said. kids were bundled with hats, gloves, and jackets but another girl had flipflops, shorts and tank. we sure was laughing.
