I went with a group of friends to see "The Secret Garden". It was my first time there and I thoroughly enjoyed it. They made you feel right at home and the ticket and refreshment prices were very reasonable. The young girl who had the lead role was amazing. She knew her lines perfect and her expressions were awesome. A couple of days later, I was at a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner in Kingsport and the entertainment was a totally different musical play from the Jonesborough Repertory Theatre and it was equally well done.
Lots of local talent trying their best to entertain the masses. I have been there a couple of times and litterally laughed until I cried.
My auntie got us all tickets to watch Cinderella. The cast was amazing. I hate it took me so long to make it here to enjoy a show.
walking down the alleyway to JRT's entrance always feels like a mystery to me. A small foyer takes one into a small, dark and intimate theater in which to forget the world and dream for a while.
This theatre has always been special to me, but it's become even more special since my kids have performed in some productions here.My entire family loves to go to plays here because of the small-town atmosphere that brings out the charm and talent in the local actors. Since the remodel of the theatre (and I hear there's more to come, this place has become a lot more comfortable and easier to navigate to the seats. The classes that JRT presents were quite valuable and fun for my children
The seats were very comfortable and the stage is fixed so everyone can see who is up there. the audio is good and I would love to go back there.
If you are looking for a great way to spend an evening or afternoon then check out the JRT production of "Singing in the Rain". Great leads, great cast, good pace and great comedy. Well worth the small price of admission.
Been there twice now and both times have been pleasant. They welcome you in and they have great seating. The shows are great and funny. They use a lot of the town folk in there plays which helps out the town. The USO show was awesome and I can't wait till the next one comes there.
The theatre was cozy with a family atmosphere. I have tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and I could hear so well. That's because the theatre is fairly small. Talented group of young performers.
Not only is Jonesboro Tennessee fulll of history, scenic beauty but very talented people. The repertory theatre puts on wonderful performances. The USO show during July is absolutely wonderful and usually a sell-out. Other performances are great as well and if you're in the area try to make one. They're great
