We always stop here when we visit Maine. They have a ton of bargains. There are so many outlets in the area, but this place is unique. Huge footwear department with brand names are discount prices. They also have a huge sporting goods department. If you like to ski, they have a lot of cold weather apparel too. A visit to Maine isn't complete without stopping here to shop.
Recommendations for things to do included this store. if you are familiar with Bass Pro Shops then you could be brought here blind folded, go inside, remove the blindfold and not know you weren't in a Bass Pro Shop. They have everything under the sun that has to do with the outdoors. And I mean everything. I would shop here if I lived here. Stop on in if you get a chance but I felt they were a little pricey.
We usually take 1 trip a year to kittery just to see what they have, They have a great selection of outdoors stuff, and if you are looking for a used gun they will probably have 1 to suit you well.
We enjoy shopping at the Kittery trading post. They offer many selections of clothes and shoes among other things at good prices. I always seem to find sales too, especially on smart wool socks.
The Kittery Trading Post is just a fun store to be in. They have beautiful clothing for men, women and children as well as household decor, blankets, shoes, sporting and hunting goods. They carry Myron's cooking sauces which are so good on Beef, chicken and venison. There are many spectacular wildlife exhibits, friendly, knowledgeable staff and the quality of the goods is exceptional.
If you have not been to Maine or are interested in the outdoors-- a hunter, hiker, fisherman, camper, cyclist, skier, this is a great store for you. Big store with lots of interesting departments geared to those people who love nature (for their home) or love to spend time outside. Visitors will enjoy the experience as that is what it is. Clothing for everyone by all the big name brands, great super sales on the holidays and a fun place to spend a few hours. Sometimes entertainment both inside and out, demonstration weekends and events throughout the years. Store is very busy on the weekend but the clerks and staff are friendly local folks who are willing to help and have a vast knowledge of information on many subjects. Go sit by the fireplace on a chilly day or rock in one of their rocking chairs by the entrance. Afta all, you're in Maine now Bub! A "must go" place and is in the midst of the Kittery Outlets. You could easily spend a day ( and many do) between the two locations. Go and have fun-- restaurants scattered around for casual eating. Iconic and I remember it when it was one tiny little shop. Family owned and run. The holiday season is coming, would make a great day trip for many! You haven't been ta Maine til you've been ta The Trading Post.
Bargain Outlets and the Kittery Trading Post are a great day stop on the southern trek from a vacation in Maine. I am a devote hater of malls and shopping unless it's full of man toys. Sporting goods, Guns, Watches, Motorcycles. You get the hint... Cool Rules. Personally if you can't find it here. You should build a time machine. Follow the signs for Route 1 Kittery in Maine just after or before the Pisataqua Bridge bordering New Hampshire and Maine. Tons of stores and Restaurants. 5 stars for a variety of cool treasures.. Bon Chasse. Good Hunting..
My husband and I love to stop here whenever we are in the area. It is just fun to look around at all the different things in the trading post even if you aren't planning on buying. Some things can be expensive, but I like the specialty items you can purchase that you cannot get anywhere else. It's a great place for clothing, sports equipment/hunting equipment and much, much more. You can even buy candy and fudge here. If anything, it's just a lot of fun to spend time browsing.
If you enjoy the outdoors you have to stop at Kittery Trading Post! They carry high quality outdoor clothing, shoes, boots, gloves, hats, hunting equipment, you name it. Their firearm department associates are very helpful and knowledgeable. They also carry name brands and have good deals. Next stop, KTP!
I decided to do some early Christmas shopping while in Maine and was very pleased with the Kittery Trading Post. There was a wide variety of products from clothes and shoes to camping, fishing and hunting supplies. My husband loves fly tying and there was a great variety for him to pick from. It is quite a large store and to see everything will take a little time. We will be stopping in again on our next trip.
