Skåne has many excellent Nature Reserves and Stenshuvud is nicely located by the sea. We took a walk up to the hilltop with great (photographic) views and enjoyed a picnic here. Then back the same way for time on the nice white beach that normally are not crowded. Good service at the service center, photographic views and a beautiful beech forest with sunny leaves offer a nice afternoon for the whole family.
Beautiful beaches and forests. Well kept walking/hiking trails. The visitors center is interesting. Easy parking, but busy in summer. Another option to Stenshuvud would be Knabackhusen, a few kilometers south in Rorum. That may not be as busy when Stenshuvud is full. Worth a short stop or a day at the beach.
This nature reserve offers nice walks, nice views of the coast or the inland green and a nice beach (but beware, there can be strong currents).
Not much to say to be honest! Wonderfull green forest and perfect beach. Its amazing how the area has avoided becoming a typical luxury beach house location.
Wonderful experience where you can see the untouched nature at its best. This is certainly worth a visit and I would strongly recommend a visit to this place. You can also enjoy a fantastic beach so please bring your swim suit and towel. Before you leave home be sure to bring comfortable walking shoes, it is very stony so please be careful if it is rainy because then it will be very slipery.A great experience so please plan for 2 hours, also free parking!
Beautiful clam sentence forests, fantastic views over the beaches and bays from several vantage points including the remnants of an old medieval fortress.
This is not to be missed. It is a wonderful hike into some very very old forests. A time to share some nature and great wild life.
Had a nice walk through the woods listening to bird song and admired the magnificent view from the viewpoint. Nice little information point.
We went on the purple walk in the morning, then walked up to the nearby cafe for lunch before going on the main walk to the triple summit/viewpoint. Get a walks leaflet from the information centre. We didn't go swimming at the beach, but would have done if we'd taken our swimming stuff in our packs!
Went with a friend for a day trip and decided to go for a walk as we passed by. Happy we did as it was just wonderful. The day was fairly quiet with plenty of parking and it was perfect for a walk.We went up to the top to one of the view points, took perhaps 15-20 minutes and wasn't really a hard walk even though it was a bit steep at times. I would say bring non slip shoes as the rocks can get quite slippery at times, especially during autumn when the leaves are wet. I would also like to add that if you aren't used to walking I would not recommend the view spot but a walk down towards the beach instead. There are plenty to choose from. A lovely way to spend a day.
