Didnt expect to find such nice place in Kodiak. Will definitely stop in again, next time I'm in the neighborhood
Everyone that enjoys a good draft beer should stop in. Only two pints allowed but you can buy a "JUG" and take it with you after your sure of the one you like the best. Price isn't too bad and the atmosphere is good too.
The ambiance is very cozy!! Love that we can bring in pizza from sparrows next door. The wood burning stove is a plus... They have local art you can view and buy. You can even bring in your dog!Brewery says everything Kodiak
The only thing about this place that will make you frown is the two pint limit. Bring a growler to be filled, or buy one. The variety of brews on tap is about eight at a time. After two visits, it was clear that everything I sampled was high-quality, aromatic, and quite exceptional flavors. The brewers are passionate about making excellent beer and it shows in product.Probst!
It's a small quaint brewery. A walk up bar welcomes you to step up and sample the suds. A two beer limit requires one to return and taste some more. Loved the Snowshoe! A lovely citrus twist will surely please Blue Moon fans.Great apparel selection-love the logo! Once you get your beer you can sit down in one of the church pews, relax and chat with other patrons or check in via wi-fi on your social media page.
I love Kodiak Island Brewing Company. Their new location on Mill Bay Road at the "Y" is wonderful. The locals and visitors can mingle and swap stories, and enjoy some of the best beer anywhere... A great Kodiak experience.
Fun atmosphere and good beer! I thought their set up of bars, benches, and chairs was pretty kul...made me think of an old time saloon kind of feel. Beer was excellent! Had a large collection of souvenir tankards, glass, growlers, and other ale type containers and they were all pretty neat. Atmosphere was great! One of the best Alaskan breweries that I have been to!
They make some local beer that are quite different. Some are good and some are too bitter for us midwesterners.
Like beer, must stop! New location is great. There license allows you to sample two pints of beer during limited hours. Other establishments on the island also serve this locally crafted beer. My favorite name - Sarah Pale Ale. My favorite to drink - Snowshoe Pale.
We came in right at opening to check out the only brewery in town. We weren't sure what to expect as they all vary. We asked if we could get a little tour being the only ones in there right at noon and they were exceptionally accommodating. Not only did we get a tour and some much needed education on beer brewing, but we also got to taste the product in the middle of the process! The service is fantastic, everyone is very friendly and they make you feel at home. This is now my favorite brewery and hope to come visit again. I fully expect to see their beer in stores in the future! If you go anywhere while in Kodiak, go visit them!
