My family had an excellent trail ride! My 9 and 10 year old daughters were completely comfortable on their horses - and this was their first time on horses. The guides matched horses for each of us and told us a bit about their personalities. The guides also offered friendly tips and reminders for novice riders to keep us safe during our adventure. The trail took us over beautiful rolling hills and gentle forested inclines, and would have passed by and through streams (had there been any rain recently). The staff and animals are very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this trail ride for a great family adventure with novice riders.
For the past two years we have taken our grandchildren, who are visiting from out of town, to Little Big Horse Trails. The staff is extremely friendly and offer tips to inexperienced riders. Great care is taken to match the rider and horse and safety is paramount. The trail ride last about 50 minutes and involves crossing a stream and going up and down hills so the experience gives the rider a real thrill. The owners are truly fantastic! They remembered us from the previous year and welcomed and treated us as if we were family. We highly recommend Little Big Horse Trails.
A big thanks to Little Big Horse Trails. We came with a large group and had a great time! The owners were so friendly, informative, and very patient with everyone. The horses are very well taken care of and clean. The trails were beautiful! Will definitely recommend to others. So FUN!! Thanks again!!
What an amazing experience. The owners are so friendly and accommodating. They took us at the last minute and gave us a great experience. Even if you don't want to ride, it is worth going with your friends who do and see this amazing place and talk to the kindest and most helpful folks on earth!
We arrived almost an hour early, Sun was shining on the five hundred acre farmland, roosters were out and about; sounding off, there was a gentle breeze blowing. We set on the porch of the office, waiting to see our hosts of “Little Big Horse Trails.” While on the porch waiting; a rooster, a beautiful, four month old horse came up on the porch, as well as the friendly, well behaved Chow, dog. Garnett and Lisa and staff were busy with morning, opening chores, getting set up for the eleven o’clock trail ride of approximate an hour, over the tranquil, peaceful, picturesque countryside. Gone were the hustle of the day, the sounds of the every modern day annoyance, no traffic noise, no cell phones, just the sounds of nature and gentle conversation. Horses were brought out one by one and riders were each given horse’s name and a narrative about the horse. I rode Baby Jake and Kathy rode Grasshopper. Out on the trail, the Sun was breaking through the moderately, dense woods, with shafts of Sun rays existed, passing through the leaves, along the way trail passed gently flowing creeks, muddy banks, which the horse navigated with steady pace, up and down gentle inclines , passing mature trees, with staff leading, we made it back to the horse barn. Our horseback riding was over.I very much and enthusiastically recommend “Little Big Horse Trails.” Kathy and I had a great time! Thank you Garnett and Lisa we hope to come back in the near future; it was enjoyable!William and Kathleen
This place is amazing. The animals seem to be very well cared for, the trails are beautiful, and the staff and owners are friendly and do an impressive job running a safe, controlled tour. Especially considering we were mostly first-time/amateur riders.THANK YOU to Little Big Horse for a great experience!
I have guided and worked at different horse stables.I must say the safe & dependable horses along with the experienced, entertaining guides make LITTLE BIG HORSE TRAILS a place I would highly recommend!
We took our family horse back riding at "Little Big Horse Trails" this afternoon. The ages in our family range from 10 to 70 and everyone had a wonderful, fun and safe ride! The staff was extremely friendly, knowledgable and experienced. We were in a group of 8 guests and there were 4 staff members working our trail ride. The staff explained the best way, the safe way to enjoy the horses and the ride. I can't say enough about the quality of the staff! Now about the property and location, "Little Big Horse Trails" has more than 500 beautiful acres to enjoy. We had the pleasure of enjoying beautiful trails, trees and experienced up and down hills, grassland and creek bottom. We really had a great time!
We were late due to some scheduling errors. However the staff was great about it and we loved our horses. The birthday boy got Tango the one he wanted from the website. Another one of our group got Baby Jake!
This was not only my first time ever visiting Little Big Horse Trails but also my first time ever riding a horse. The owners were really great with explaining everything and were very kind and patient. The trails were absolutely beautiful and all of the horses seemed very happy and well taken care of. The price is incredibly reasonable and I felt completely comfortable and safe the whole time. I will definitely be coming back here quite a lot.
