A well manicued course. Challenging golf. Each nine has a totally different feel and challenge. May play a little slow. Bring a few spare balls.
I played here with some friends recently and had a great time. The course was in excellent shape and the greens are well maintained, especially considering it is a municipal course. The course is fair, but can be challenging if you get out into the rough. The greens fees are also in line with the quality of the course. The only drawback is that it took 5 hours to play, which seems to be the norm these days at most metro courses.
Fox hollow and neighboring homestead golf courses are great courses.Fox hollow has 3- 9 hole courses to choose from. I have played the Links/ Canyon course many times now and really enjoy them. The Links being my favorite. 1st off the views are amazing at all these courses as they are near the the foothills of Red Rocks park. The wind can be a issue, if it's windy find another course to play as these are on the Mesa. There is one hole on the Canyons that's a bit funky, but otherwise a fun and challenging day will await you. Saw a few red tail haws as a bonus.
My sister in law and I went here for lunch one day. We sat on the patio because it happened to be a nice day. We had to tell someone we were there or we wouldn't have had service. The food was mediocre at best. The wine was good. That's about it.
My husband gives the course 5 stars and it is in a beautiful area. The club house has a lovely outdoor eating area with very good food.
I played the Meadows and the Links courses. Meadows is pretty and not too challenging for high handicapper like me. Links was a little harder because some of the holes were long and uphill. But pretty vistas of the area. Staff was friendly and rangers kept pace reasonable for a weekend.
Played the links and meadow nines and enjoyed both. The links is a simple, but challenging layout. The meadows was beautiful. I enjoyed playing through the trees and along the stream, and found the meadows more difficult. Courses were in very good shape (June). I will return to play the canyons nine. I hear it is the best. Good course for all players. I have a four handicap.
Fox Hollow has 3 unique nines, each with it's own character and challenges. Thw green s and fairways are always in great condition and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Check out the heaping nachos after your round. You won't walk away hungry!
This is one of my favorite courses in the Denver area. There are very few houses near the course and its always in great condition. Its rare to find a deal like this.
I have had breakfast here several times over the years. Excellent menu. Excellent value for the money. Many tables outside overlooking the course so if the weather is nice, it is a beautiful place for breakfast and relaxing with coffee.
