Autumn is a favourite time when the leaves are turning, also looks fabulous in the snow ! Great for dog walkers and nature lovers, alone or with friends and family
Me (13), and my mum always walk our dogs here. We absolutely live it here. There are lots of squirrels, which are very friendly and children can feed and my dog loves to chase them up the trees. They have recently done the paths so it is less muddy when you walk in without it looking too unnatural. They also have an information centre, gift shop, climbing frames and golf course.I would defiantly recommend going here, but be careful not to get lost. If you stick to the trees with white stripes or arrows and follow them it should lead you tongue horses stable at the exit. It's great for walking your dog or for just going out as a family. Enjoy, and hope this helped!
Easy access and good parking. Well marked paths all round the park, very easy to feel as if you are deep in the countryside and not actually in the middle of a large urban area. I learned to ride here many years ago and expect those learning now still enjoy getting off the tarmac and into the woods away from it all. Great for a day out or just a short walk for some fresh air.
Nice alternative to the seafront for a good walk. Just watch our for golf balls! We visit regularly.
Spent a few hours with the kids walking around the nature walk. Nice clear paths and we'll signposted routes
Good for walking, and horse riding and feeding the squirrels. Avoid golf balls so good if a golfer not so much if on foot, a lot of dogs therefore a lot of their mess around, a brilliant adventure playground for older children and miniature golf. Good to have in this area and you can also get lost!!!
plenty to do for all, nice clean facilities, stables lovely cafe restaurant. parks for the kids, and nice golf course. sometimes see foxes plenty of squirrels, lots of families and dog walkers.
We played golf on the smaller course which was good fun. Although I managed to lose my ball in the hedge at the first hole!! The man who hired out the equipment was very helpful but underestimated the number of balls I would need. After my embarrassment in having to get another ball he couldn't have been more helpful. I have also been walking through the forest which is a lovely area to stroll in. In all a great day out.
I really enjoy walking in the woods. its close to roads and my busy life but somehow the calm of the place is almost instant. lovely to walk and shake off the cobwebs.
love walking here with my partner and dog. it's so relaxing and my dog love it there.always a good time there.
