This was our forth year visiting the winery. They have a great selection of wines and offer both tasting and tours. The staff are always polite and helpful and we always leave with at least a case of assorted wines. Definitely a must stop for wine lovers. They also hold special events on site which we always tend to miss, but others have raved about their events. Will be returning every year as it's part of our annual pilgrimage to south Carolina.
My husband and I visited La Belle Amie during our winter break vacation to North Myrtle Beach. We enjoy going to local wineries wherever we travel. They had a large selection of wines and the employees were extremely friendly and attentive. Being from the north we don't get to try muscadine wines so this was a great experience. We visited on a Wednesday and were able to take advantage of 1/2 price wine tasting. After the tasting we purchased a glass of wine and spent the time chatting with the employees and a local couple who had stopped by.
I love visiting the La Belle Amie winery! Everyone is so friendly and my favorite spot is on the front porch with a glass of wine in hand. They offer wine tastings and have an incredible gift shop with their wines, as well as local South Carolina wines. The wines are ok. I like that they are true to the area and use local grapes. The setting is lovely and we enjoy packing a picnic lunch to enjoy on the front porch. They also have beautiful grounds where you can spend the whole day just relaxing in this beautiful setting. There are also some trails throughout the woods and you can view some of the grapes in the vineyard.
This was an accidental discovery! The vineyard festival has food vendors and a fun gift shop. They sell Twisted Sisters labeled wine. The wine tasting was fun, the wines were EXCELLENT!!! Just an amazing fun "discovery"!
I might say this is a fun wine oriented gift shop that also offers tasting of some pretty nice wines! And the wines are for sale too! What a wonderful way to spend an after noon in the Grans Strand.
The atmosphere is relaxing and friendly. Enjoy the entertainment and making new friends. The Muscadine wines from South Carolina are the best.
Spent another afternoon at the Winery. There were new offerings this time for our sampling, and I think it is the best sampling of all the wineries I have visited. Not only is the wine better, but the price is low ($5.50 and you keep your etched glass), but the grounds and gift shop are superb. You get to choose six wines from their lines (you have dozens of choices), and they give you two bonuses of a hot wine cider and wine slush. You can purchase wine by the glass or bottle and then sit on the vast porch or several gazebos, hammocks etc on the property. Limited cheese and fruit is available for sale as well.
In just one visit, La Belle Amie Winery has become our favorite Southern winery. Their staff presents true Southern Hospitality. The day we visited was a beautiful March afternoon with music outside, people with picnic lunches were welcomed, and they had the grill going with burgers, etc as well. You could take a bottle or glass of wine out with you to enjoy. They also had delicious mulled spiced wine, and wine slushies to enjoy! The gift shop is one of the best winery gift shops we've experienced. When we are back in the Myrtle Beach area we will most definitely be going back to La Belle Amie!
Came here with a group of friends for the Parrott Festival. We had a great time listening to the bands and sampling the wines. The wines were very good.
The samples of wine they pour are so small...how small are they? They are so small I've gotten more liquid inside a piece of juicy fruit gum! But I recommend you order a glass and stay a while! None of the wines I almost tasted are worth $15 a bottle, but the atmosphere and charming gift shop make it worth $3.59 a glass to drink there! Go with extra time to shop an explore she charming grounds!!!
