A very large building with various artefacts you would expect. Would have expected there to be more in there to be honest not a lot about the Beatles seemed to be large areas with not a lot in there
Didn't get to see enough of it as I was with kids. Would love to go back and spend more time experiencing more
I've recently returned from a break in Southport. While we were there we visited Liverpool museum. This lovely building is well worth a visit. It's best to start at the top and work your way down to the ground floor. Admission is free and has a nice café for you to refresh yourself after your walk round.
Another great venue - free entrance but donations are requested and why not? Worth a few £s of anyone's money for a thoroughly entertaining few hours looking around. Loads of interactive exhibits, short films to view etc. etc. Lockers available free of charge which saves you lugging everything around with you.
Modern building housing a large collection of items charting the history of Liverpool and her people, very busy with school groups but plenty of space for all - nice cup of tea to be hand in caffe as well !
Very enjoyable,There's great information boards, interactive displays, short films and all well laid out over 3 floors. The staff are extremely helpful and attentive. There is an awful lot of things to see here, so I'd recommend leaving 3-4 hours to see it all. We had lunch at the cafe which was really lovely. I had a ham and cheese toastie with a bowl of chips (amazing chips) and a fruit tea.The toilets were very clean however I went into 3 different toilets and all didn't have towel to dry my hands on. I went on a week day so wasn't very busy except for school children and had to queue each time for the toilet as there was only 3 toilets on the lower floor toilets... definitely need more. This museum is definitely worth a visit...especially as it's free!!
Unfortunately all the museums seemed to close at 5pm and so we hadn't left enough time to do this justice. What we saw was very interesting, and would like to go back and see more of it. Lots of interactive displays which would appeal to the children especially, - and all the museums are free!
Great place for children and adults alike. Lots of things to see and do educational but fun. If you have cases they have lockers FREE. Go release your inner child.
A free entrance modern museum. It tells the story of Liverpool in a light and different way. From football to music and docks history to transport. Child friendly.
I remembered the museum from my childhood and could not believe what has been done to this once great establishment. The place is no more than a child care centre with useless plastic miniature replicas of dinosaurs, out of date videos about space, dead-end corridors with no flow through the museum. Numerous cafés with dirty tables overflowing with used crockery. Absolutely diabolical.
