Amazing, what a find in the tiny village of Leura. Treats for every taste. Incredible chocolate art on show as well. The chilli chocolate is the best I've ever had.
We can't speak highly enough of Josophan's. We are lucky enough to be able to indulge in a single chocolate each weekend. We planned to work our way through the cabinet selection but we seemed to get stuck a few chocolates in - what a shame we will just have to keep going back. The staff are wonderful and don't even bag our chocolates now as they are in our mouth before we even get out of the shop.
Best hot chocolate with choice of decadent delights. The resident sulphur crested cockatoo kept us highly amused. So Aussie.
As I opened the wooden door to enter the shop ,I thought this is heaven where do I start from.I walked straight to the display and picked the most cutest chocolate made into a cup called cappucino ,so cute I could've sat there but as I didn't have the time, I raced out with regret ,next time. Without a doubt the chocolate was intense pure creamy chocolate .
Driving through Leura on a warm and sunny or cold and wet day, there is one chocolate stop to ensure you make - the fabulous Josophan's on the main Leura Street. We stopped by after nearly a year away from Leura and the chocoloates and nougat were as delicious as ever. Our favourate, Mayan Chilli Chocolates were on display so a box was quickly purchased and the hit of chilli with the dark rich cacao with a fresh coffee stays in your mouth and on your lips for quite a while - YUMMY!The Grand Marnier chocolates were luscious with the after taste of sharp orange from the liquor.A wonderful location to treat yourself to fresh homemade chocolates and a range of quality overseas products from master chocolatiers!
I haven't actually visited the shop but I received a box of Josophan's chocolates as a Christmas present. Thank you, John. These are without a doubt the most imaginative and high quality handmade chocolates that I have eaten anywhere in the world. I'm not just being effusive. I used to live in Switzerland so perhaps I am actually qualified to make such a statement. These visually beautiful, refined gem-like morsels of intriguing combinations of flavours. Basil and lime! Mango and chili! Honey and lavender! Buy a box for someone you love which, might be you. Support Josophan's Chocolates! They deserve your patronage and they have mine forever!
This was our first visit to a chocolate shop with our 4 year old, and he just loved it. Chocolate with sprinkles, some nougat and orange drops were his choices and my husband and I struggled with the choices in the cabinet. A must visit!
This place is tucked away but was full of people. We tried (& purchased) several times to eat and as gifts. The staff were friendly, helpful and interested in wrapping our gifts. We loved the dark choc rocky road! If this place is packed several of the other shops in the same street also sell the brand.
We walked past this chocolate shop and decided to pop in because we saw lots of people (total herd mentality). Turns out the chocolate was amazing. We bought some chocolate mix and have been making the tastiest hot chocolates ever since.
