I truly enjoyed being able to enjoy an afternoon of golf at this golf course. Not only is it located in a gorgeous location, but the price is very reasonable. I'll definitely enjoy coming back again!
I'm not an avid golfer, but I had a great time here. You play down into the bluffs with great views and many different types of holes. Recommendation: rent a cart as it got pretty hilly and may be hard to walk. Pretty course and only about 15 mins from Rochester.
Beautiful Golf Course. Nicely maintained.Reasonable rates. My favorite course in SW Minnesota.A must do.
One of the most scenic courses in SE Minnesota. Prices are right, and the golf is a challenge. Only bad round I had there was when they were working on the re-grading parts of the course. Seems like they would have had a deeper discount to play some alternate hols, etc.
This place needs to turned into a camp ground! The staff is rude, the clubhouse is dirty, the course is in terrible shape and the prices are out of line with the area courses! never again!
I've played this course many times over the years and I enjoy it more every time. Even though it's a 15 minute drive from downtown, it is such a picturesque course, with a river twisting around and through it, that the drive is well worth it. I especially like Number 3, where the tee overlooks the green from a vantage point at least 50 feet higher than its surface. The river adds to the challenge to hit accurately, especially on Number 14, my old par 5 nemesis. The rolling hills make it imperative to know where the green is, since several are not visible from the tee.The fairways are well trimmed, the rough not left overly long and the greens are ALL in good shape. To top it off, senior duffers get 9 holes free on Mondays (til 11:00). That's hard to beat!
Easily the nicest setting for a golf course in and around Roch, is currently being remodeled, so we'll see what tht brings, can usually walk on in the evening, appreciate that they didn't charge for my 12 yr old and let my wife walk along at no charge, has a small town feel, but the course is not small town, hole 8 drives me nuts, the tee shot seems impossible, but otherwise a good course.
Well groomed fairways and greens. Challenging course, yet accessible for beginners. Amazing views and very relaxing environment. I went a number of years ago, the club house wasn't anything special, but I would go for the course itself.
We enjoyed the view, challenges, and friendliness of Maple Valley Golf and Country Club. Very reasonable prices for a good course compared to what we are used to in our home town.
Read the positive reviews, pay no attention to the bad review of this course. This place is a diamond in the rough (pun intended) compared to the other courses in the area. Very friendly staff and owners, small town feel with small town price. The holes that they changed around last year have really turned out nicely! #2 was a par 4, now a par 5, and for the longer hitters is very reachable in 2. Putting for eagle! They added new greens 4,5,and 6, turning the holes around for play. Hole 6 is now a par 5, reachable in 2 for longer hitters, but the green is tough to hit! Hole 7 is now a par 4, but still has that "finger tree" guarding the right side of the fairway for your 2nd shot.Go play the course, you won't be sorry. Prices are very fair. Come for golf, enjoy the views. Fall is coming soon. No better colors than playing golf at Maple Valley!
