We have just returned home after one of the best days out we have enjoyed. This event had been recommended to us by friends but what they told us could not do the day justice. We arrived and met Katy and her dad along with some other families attending and after the safety briefing it was everyone to the shooting line. Katie and her dad spent time with everyone giving tips on how to improve your technique and get closer to the gold centre of the target. This activity has been made very enjoyable by being split into 4 different sections.1. Shoot at the traditional archery target2. Paper plates stuck to the target for a game of X'y O'sies3. Bursting ballons for points4. Last 6 arrows bursting balloons We all throughly enjoyed this and with the games made it a little bit competitive!Excellent value for money with four hours only costing £10 per person. The activity is all indoors so no need to bring waterproof clothing however, don't wear your best shoes as the floor is sandy .Complimentary Tea and coffee are available and you may want to bring along some sandwiches for lunch. This is one place we will definitely be visiting again.
Our introduction to archery could not have been easier and our hosts, Katie and her father, went out of their way to be helpful and accomodating. We spent close to four hours with them and the time just flew by. We will most definitely be recommending this centre to friends and hope to come back here again soon. Many thanks for an excellent afternoon trying something new!
What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Hats off to Katy and Granda Mick for making it so much fun yet very safe. I had never attempted Archery before because I have poor hand to eye co-ordination but came away feeling like I had shot a bullseye!! Tea/coffee and biscuits were supplied throughout the 4 hours providing a completed relaxed atmosphere. I would totally recommend a visit
I had a really great time with my two cousins and brother. Excellent for all ages. Really fun with the games mixed in. Getting to pop balloons is a lot more enjoyable, challenging, and competitive than you'd think, not to mention it's family relations safety similar to playing Monopoly. I will definitely be planning another visit with my friend in the foreseeable future.
A first class day out and real value for money. Katie and her father were very friendly, but made sure that health and safety rules were applied. Four hours of getting better, or for some of us getting worse at archery. It really was for all, wee people from four or the so called more sensible at fifty four. Will look forward to returning with a group some time again.
This activity is well worth a visit. Katie and her dad are really encouraging and make the session both challenging and relaxed. Extremely welcoming, everyone from adults to teens enjoyed their time. It is great value for money with tea and coffee facilities complimentary. Will definitely return! Recommend this to anyone looking for a family day out which caters for everyone, whatever their level of skill or interest.
Fantastic family day out, great laugh and most enjoyable. Katie and her father are fantastic hosts. They are warm and friendly and make the whole archery experiance an absolute treat.Would recommend. Will be returning soon.
We have just returned from a brilliant day spent here. Katie and her dad were very welcoming and professional. I would recommend this for all ages and abilities. Four hours of fun and good craic and we even managed to hit the targets a few times.
The archery center is in an old barn, with no heating or cooling. But don't let this deter you; Katy and her dad have a fun filled four hour session waiting for you! There is an initial safety briefing, following by a free shoot, where you take aim at the bullseye target to show your best shot. Then, you take a break, complete with provided tea, coffee, and hot chocolate while they set up a game of tic tac toe. Following this game, out comes the balloons for the most challenging game! You don't even realize you're doing target practice as they make it fun. The hours literally slip by without you even realizing it!!They're very friendly and accommodating. With a small lounge area, complete with sofas and a children's activity table, there's a place to sit with small children or a place to leave older children to entertain themselves. There's also a soft play area for the toddlers as well. We had a 6 month old and a 2 year old with us, and Katy couldn't have been more accommodating. The two year old was set with the dirt, spade, and shovels she provided for him to play with. We will definitely be returning, with others in tow. The barn can easily accommodate 15 shooters at a time. I highly recommend it!!
This was an unexpected brilliant day out with my 9 year old daughter and husband. We had never done anything like this before but what a surprise to us that we actually really enjoyed this emensely, so much so that our 9 year old daughter want to find an archery club when she gets home! Katie and her daddy were great hosts and very professional towards what can be a dangerous enough activity around novices like ourselves!! We will definitely be returning when we visit the area next time....Well done Katie!!
