Wife and I had a quick getaway to Chelan and following a fantastic Dinner at the Winemakers Grill at Wapato Cellars, we ran into the Mill Bay Casino to try our luck at a couple games and see if there was any live entertainment. We both signed up for the players club and received $10 of free play cash each. It happened to be my wife's birthday and she received another $10 of free play cash. Very nice facility and the bar often has decent live music especially in the summer months.
Somewhat smokey and 3/4s of the machines were down due to an electronic issue. The staff was not particularly helpful and the restaurant was average.
This little casino in Manson is about 10 minutes from Chelan & brings in some fun old school bands for the summer. Parking is free, the sound was okay and the traffic was easy. You must walk through the smokey casino floor to get to the concert area, which is shaded, has a huge outdoor bathroom & full bar with some small plates to order. They accept cash & credit cards. Definitely a great add on date night if your staying on the Lake!
Let's get to the point. This place is a SCAM. Stay away. No one wins. Just money sucking machines and bored staff. I recommend a root canal over this dump.
I visit this casino at least once a year and never do I see even a 5% return on the amount of money "dumped" into what Mill Bay considers "slot machines." DO NOT go here if you have intentions of hitting it BIG or to possibly break even, it won't happen. By far the tightest machines in the state. I'm surprised the gambling commission doesn't keep a closer eye on this casino regarding it's payouts, they're are undoubtedly the poorest of any casino in the state if not possibly the nation. So ambling enthusiasts beware you've been warned!
It was very accommodating and we had no problems getting shuttles. Didn't like the smoky environment and wish they had non smoking areas for us that don't smoke.
The Mill Bay Casino in Manson, Washington is owned by the Confederated Colville Tribe and is located on the northern shores of Lake Chelan. It built a new small casino and event center a couple of years ago which was a big improvement from the collection of dilapidated mobile homes and cafe that comprised the last complex. The facility is ok and much cleaner and spacious than the previous low-rent operation but the tribal management is severely lacking. The restaurant serves some of the worst food in the West. The employees are severely under trained even for Eastern Washington standards, which is saying a lot. Frozen or deep-fried foods run amok with employees offering customer service on the level of a gas station minimart. Locals grumble about the choice and variety in a smoky environment. So if you are are a compulsive gambler with a nicotine problem and regularly dine on greasy, unappetizing fried food, you'll love the place. Otherwise you are warned.
I can't figure out why this dump is still around. It is a complete scam and a clip joint. Machine are beyond tight. Seems like they should be investigated for out and out fraud.
When you live in California, and visit the nice casinos in Vegas, this place is dirty, smoky and kind of low rent. We went to check it out, the casino does not have a good ventilation system so it's pretty poor in regards to air quality.
Smallish casino on beautiful lake Chelan. Mainly slot machines with a few table games. Not crowded except occasionally in summer. Large parking lot. There is a venue that gets some decent acts in but is extremely overpriced. Good diversion if you need a break from the sun and lake.
