Surrounded by shops, restaurants and pubs, it is an awesome place to relax and enjoy your free time.
Xmas market as in Germany, with the Dutch hospitality. Scating facility available, various places for food and drink and interesting xmas decoration for sale. Worth wile to visit.
Great place to start your trip in Maastricht. A lot of history in one square, be sure to read up on it!
Tons of restaurants with great outdoor seating areas here, so have a walk around and then stop for coffee, drinks, or dinner cozied up under a blanket and heater at any one of them. The Christmas market is on this square, as well as a number of other seasonal events. Very fun!
The view from the market will give you one of the best views in town. The two beautiful churches separated by a narrow street.During my visit a huge xmas market made it even more interesting and a delight with entertainment and food. Also a good start point fot your walk trip if you came by car, there is a huge covered parking, not cheap, but very practical.
We were lucky enough to score a great Airbnb place right off the square so we spent a lot of time here and loved it, there are many great & reasonably priced cafés for breakfast-dinner and there are always people out in every kind of weather! Loved Maastricht!
Even in winter, this is an attractive square with the theatre and lots of cafes at its edge. Works of art seem to pop up from time to time.
Very nice and big square in the centre of Maastricht sourrounded by cafés and bars. Very nice. It was cold though, so we could not stay outside, but in summer it must be splendid
Lot's of nice bars and restaurants. Even in winter time you can enjoy the terraces as they are heated.
Very cosy and beautiful Christmas market with lots of food and things to buy. There is a ferris wheel and a authentic carousel. Not to forget: an iceskating ring! Nice view around and pleasant place to stroll around.
