  What an amazing experience I had with the Rusty Wallace Racing crew in Newton, Iowa at the Iowa Speedway. I have raced several times with another company and this was by far more fun! Your experience starts with a briefing and some training that is relaxed and informative. Then it is off to get on your racing gear. Once you are suited up you are ready to get in a 700 HP race car, they strap you in, roar the engine to life, and wave you off of pit road and onto the track. To add to the experience you have spotters radioing you along the way to improve your experience that includes passing! WHAT A RUSH!! This is a must have Bucket List item for you to do! Pay for the extra laps you will love it!

  I bought my husband the 3 lap Ride-A-Long package from Rusty Wallace Experience for Christmas last year. It was a great experience for him and is looking forward to going back next year and doing the "Driver" experience! We would have given a Five Star rating but there was one thing that was a bit bothersome. After checking in and getting suited up we were told to go over to the cars and go to the left. We even seen the sign that said "Ride-A-Long" so we figured we were in the right place. My husband asked if we should check in with the guy that keep saying names or just stand there. I went up to the guy calling names and asked him. He asked what number my husband had and I told him. He said he was on 72 and my husband was 79 so he would be calling his number shortly. He was scheduled at 10:30 a.m.; we got there at 10:00 a.m. My husband and I started talking with the other people that were standing there waiting and they were around his number so again we figured we were in the right place. Around 11:15, the guy that was calling names called the group that we were standing with and asked if they were ride-a-longs, driving or both. My husband and 3 other guys said they were just the ride-a-long. The guy informed them that they were in the wrong spot; they needed to go down to the center of the pit. When we moved down there the same guy came down and said he was on number 72 (still). I think it was about 12:00 p.m. when my husband finally got in the car. So, with all that being said, we would say it was a little confusing. There could have been better communication and organization between the staff and driver/riders. IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE THOUGH and will be returning next year!!!

  I purchased the three lap adult ride along for my husband for our anniversary. He had a great time! Our little girl went with us and it was so fun for her to see daddy in the racecar! She thought that was really something special!!! Totally recommend this!! Staff is great and you get to be right down on pit road!!!

  I really enjoyed it, this was the first time I have tried a service like this. I race dirt modifieds so I was comfortable fairly quickly, with that being said my only gripe was wanting to push it faster and the spotter did not let me. Otherwise the ppl and cars were great!

  On September 10, we hosted an event for Iowa Law Enforcement. The catering staff were incredibly friendly and responsive. They were always available and took exceptional care of my customers. The Speedway staff took the time to understand my needs and provided me with more than what I desired in a locale for hosting my 2014 KELTEK Roadshow. We have never been happier with a venue.

  I had my first Nascar experience at Iowa Speedway and it was a good one. Good infrastructure and a lot of activities besides the actual races.

  On October 5th, 2014, my brother and I spent the day together and checked an item off of our Bucket List with a Rusty Wallace Shootout Experience at Iowa Speedway in Newton, IA! We originally were scheduled for a 12 lap experience, and upon arriving at the track, they offered us a very reasonable upgrade package which included 4 additional laps for a total of 16, 3 ride along laps with a professional driver before we did our shootout experience and an in car video of our time on the track! The class preceding the experience was superbly taught and prepared us for what we were about to take on. Once we were ready to climb aboard and we were connected to our spotter who had our backs out on the track, I was amazed as to how smoothly things went and how, being the first time I had ever driven an NASCAR how well I was able to do! Everyone we encountered from checking us in, to the instructor to the course, to the guys who helped us get harnessed into our rides, were extremely professional and top knotch! We will definitely be looking at this experience again in the future hopefully at a bigger track! What an awesome time!

  The Price of season Tickets again went up as well as the parking even for Season Ticket holders, I was a Season ticket holder for 5 years, now they lost out, way to much for crap races. Others have followed me as well. Many people aggree

  The Iowa track is very nice and hopefully someday the Cup race will come there. We camped across the street which was very convienient and the Tram worked great. The campground does not have any hook ups which is a small hassle. The rumor there is that the land was bought out and there won't be any camping there after next year. No one from Iowa Speedway would confirm that rumor. If there isn't any camping on site, then I would not attend any more. This year was our 3rd year there. They also need to add some more entertainment since we are there for four days!

  Iowa Speed way needs to take a good hard look at what keeps fans coming, I took my son to his first race last weekend. It was an experience.... the cars get so far apart you cant keep track of who's where after the first 50 laps.We also purchased a bottle of water and a Coke, we left the gate to go to the Tour bus and when we tried to get back in they wouldn't let us bring the 1/2 bottle of Coke that we purchased at the track for $4.00 We could bring the bottle of water in that was ok... What the hell is the difference? We purchased them there and paid through the nose..... You can't bring anything in as far as your beverage. Only the bottle of water we purchased there in the gate. The lady at the gate was rude and to the point, Just don't ask questions. You can't bring it in. I remarked we won't be back next your, and her reply was it's up to you in a smart tone.We definitely won't be back ! Spend my money elsewhere. However it is a nice track and laid out well.
