Netherworld really goes above and beyond your average haunted house. If you're looking for a good scare you're sure to find it at Netherworld. The real hero of the show, however, is the special effects. The makeup on the actors, the animatronics and lighting effects are a sensory feast. I went to Netherworld the first year they opened and it was great. I haven't been in a few years, and when I saw it this year I was amazed how much it has grown. If you want a great Halloween and special effects experience, Netherworld is the place to go!
We went here as a group of 4 and we had a solid time here. The lines was quite long, but after 30 mins or so we were able to get inside. And it was really worth the wait! There were a lot of special effects, zombies, witches (part of them were robots, part of them were staffs) that really surprised us every time we dropped our alertness. If you go here during Halloween, you just simply couldn't be wrong!
We feel so lucky to have this amazing haunt in our state of GA. We'd be willing to drive for hours to get to this every year, but fortunately, we don't have to! Every year is a new theme, every year it's beyond impressive. Every actor is loving what they do and are all in. Every year we are scared out of our wits!
This was my second visit and my boyfriend's first time. We're both horror movie fans. Getting up close and personal with the live "witches" and "zombies" was great fun. The special effects never disappoint. The line kept moving and we were inside in no time. There is free parking on the Netherworld lot. Although parking is limited, I'd definitely try there first before paying nearby. We only live a few hours away, so this will be a yearly event for us. Can't wait for next year!
Words can't describe how great this haunted house is. It's in a league of it's own. The house is huge with lot's of detail. Everywhere you look there is something scary, creepy, cool, gross ......
Quality professional production. Print your tickets on line and get the fast pass. The lines are long for tickets and longer for the entrance. Lots of middle and high school kids as one would expect. We had the fast past and avoided all the drama. Well worth it! Port A Johns only, sodas and water in gift shop.
Unfortunately i am not easily frightened but it was fun watching my wife and brother squirm. This place is huge and the put a lot of work into it. Even the characters outside add to the thrill. The actors/actress really commit to their part and make this an experience to remember. Please keep in mind it is a little costly especially if taking a big group.
I went here on Halloween night with my family. While the lines were rather long, ~30 mins, it was worth the wait. It started raining while we were on line and the ushers quickly opened up a hallway in one of the closed down warehouse stores to get us out of the rain, which was nice. When we got inside of Netherworld we were immediately impressed with the detail they put into their haunted house. They have 100's of robotic monsters and demons through the twists and turns, statues that look like they are real that make you afraid to walk by for fear they will grab you, and well hidden cast members that surprise you when you least expect it. I loved the way they used projectors to create a neck deep swamp to wade through, and a spinning green starscape that disoriented you before spitting you out into an arena of monsters. The costumes and sets are worthy of any horror movie, I would definitely recommend you to visit this place... and its open well into November in case you missed it in time for Halloween.BTW Management, please have more hand sanitizer at the bathroom, Thanks!!
We have been watching the Travel Channel Halloween specials for years and have always said we were going to Netherworld, but had never made it until this year. We live in Asheville, NC so we're only about three hours away. My wife, and eldest daughter and I drove down on Saturday and checked into a hotel, had dinner and then went to Netherworld. We bought the speed pass, which gets you right to the front of the line. It was definitely worth it as the lines looked to be somewhere between one and two hours long. From the minute you arrive, you are put into the scare mode. From the spooky characters wandering around outside, to the closed circuit TV images of people inside it's a great time. There are two haunted houses created from former warehouses and they are exceptionally well done. The decorations and the way they have created the different attractions inside are very professional. There are real-life characters hidden in with animatronics and many of them really startle when they jump out or walk in front of you. Some of the effects and scares are really cool, and I won't give them away. You should experience this at least once.
My wife and I go to several of these attractions every year and this year Netherworld has outdone themselves. By far it was the best haunted house in Atlanta this year. A word of advise, buy your tickets online and if you can swing it get the front of the line pass, well worth it.
