While you are taking a walking tour of Noto, make sure you take time to turn off the main avenue to take a look at the facade of this palazzo. We did not have time to go inside, but if the balconies are any indication of the beauty, it must be worthwhile to visit the interior.
A small palace, but in beatiful shape, we loved every minute! The reception was very helpfull. Open all day!!!
Worth a visit to take a picture as nobles lived in Sicily. The staff was very nice and helpful. The entrance fee was a few Euros.
We were group of friends, who went 10 days road trip through all Italy. This was one of our destination to see.... I even dont have any comments.... 50/50 like architecture - Go, otherwise.... up to you...
Pop into this palace to get an idea of what life was like for a wealthy family at the height of this city's importance. Stand on the balcony and imagine the town bustling beneath you. An interesting walk through for 15-20 minutes. Very hot inside though!
The palazzo Nicolaci a Noto is beautiful inside and out and worth the 4 Euro's entrance fee.It is a magnificent example of restored baroque architecture and the frescoe's in the ballroom are amazing. A great example of how the wealthy lived in these times.
We spent an interesting three quarters of an hour here. Outside, the facade has several balconies with very fancy carvings of horses and other creatures.Inside, the palace is nearly empty of furniture, but some of the rooms are painted with frescos of birds and some with mythlogical scenes . It is possible to go out onto some of the balconies over the street and over the square and the views are nice, especially as you are on the balconies with the fancy carvings. There is a lovely ballroom or salon area which is painted to look like a pavilion, with windows.
This is a wonderful old house with a few different rooms that you can wander through. Don't miss the amazing walls and the wallpaper in the rooms. Also, the balconies cannot be missed. The staff (a young woman) was very nice and helpful. The entrance fee was a few Euros, maybe 3-4.
It is a photographer's dream. Unfortunately we could not go inside, I wish we did. I can only speak of outside, this is a landmark not to be missed, I want to go back to Noto just to be able to see interior of this palace
It was a pleasure to be able to visit this baroque palace and well worth the entry fee of 4 euros pp.
