We have been going to Jukebox for years. The comedians are top notch. Shows are usually right on time. The lobby is extremely small, and the ticket counter/bar is really close to the front door, so it can be confusing to newcomers. Just get in line at the counter. The line will curve to the right, then back left. The line along the left wall is where you go after you get your tickets to go back to the club. Don't panic- you won't get left out, or miss anything. This is not a fancy place, so don't expect posh surroundings.Drinks are always good, and the frozen drinks are great! If you're ready for a lot of laughs and a great time at an affordable price without extra frills, you will love Jukebox.
The location is somewhat out of the way and the building could use some tender care, but the comedy is the best. The prices for all shows is very inexpensive even when headliners appear which is quite often. Cocktails and snacks are also reasonable.
I have been here many times and feel the local talent for the most part is better than some of the bigger names they bring in. Nothing fancy, food is so-so and beer prices ok. This isnt Chicago but plays in Peoria
We have come here numerous times over the years by ourselves and with friends. Just this year, we have seen three shows. We most recently saw Dave Coulier for a second time at Jukebox, and he was awesome! If the comedian is a big name, make sure to call or order tix online ahead of time, as shows do sell out. The place is not huge. Parking is kind of limited; we usually get there about a hour before the show starts. They start seating thirty min. before and you can hang out in the bar and get drinks before that. The popcorn is actually really delicious here too!It is crowded inside, but not nearly as crowded as other comedy clubs we've been to, including Second City. We have typically lucked out and not had to sit on top of other people. The table service is always speedy, too.
In the past three years or so I've gone to the Jukebox probably a dozen times. Sometimes with friends, coworkers, my husband, even my mom when she came for a visit. Always a good time if you do your homework and find out if the comic is your cup of tea - usually a quick search on YouTube will get you some examples of the comic's schtick. Also jukebox's website rates each comic so that you have an idea if the comic is going to be raunchy or use a lot of profanity or whatnot. The club is small but gets some really talented people and tickets are only $12 to $30 per person based on how well known the comedian is. Drinks are a little pricey, but to be fair, you'll spend more on a movie theater ticket and popcorn than you would to catch a LIVE SHOW and a drink here and I'd much rather support a young comic in a small venue than watch a movie in a crowded theater that will benefit a bunch of people in Hollywood that have more money than they know what to do with! Support this local establishment and the awesome people trying to make you laugh - you won't regret it!
We won ticket's from a radio station. Not sure i would of paid to see the Comedian's that night. One out of four was funny, the other three were just horrible. We had a small group and i would of walked out but others needed a ride from the highly priced drinks. They really push & push & push tipping the wait staff.Te building is ok not a great area of Peoria but not terrible.Plus you can go to a strip club right next door.We might go back if a well known headliner is there, but otherwise we will stay away.Everyone was nice & polite,we just didn't have a fun night that night.Worth a try if you have never been there tho.
Entrance room was crowded, dirty, and uncomfortable. Waitresses cursed and yelled at each other due to being short staffed. Clean the place with some cleaner and it would be nicer. Why do they sell RC pop for over $2? lol
Went here recently and saw a comedian who performed on the Bob and Tom Show. There are a lot of B list (or lower) celebs that headline here, but it is the best you are going to get in the area. Overall, I enjoyed the experience - a good time with the family.
This is an excellent comedy club. Always top comedians, good prices for show tickets. Good selection at the bar. Has a few things to eat. Great service.
I've from Chicago but have made it out to the Jukebox before for a show. Great experience and definitely worth the trip. Looking for a repeat I booked four tickets for some friends and I to catch weekday show. When our schedules changed the week before, I had to cancel the trip and was worried about the sunk cost of tickets (a deal at 17 bucks, but x 4....). Then Dan, their owner, contacted me personally to help me cancel my purchase. No ticket master here! In short, do it. A great lineup of cross-country acts at a great price in a great environment and, should something come up, they have great service too!
