A place you really should have seen - even if you don't frequent museums. It gives a very interesting and sometimes amazing overview to a scope of contemporary art.
Unbedingt hinaufsteigen! Es lohnt sich!Wir waren begeistert. Moderne Kunst gelungen in Szene gesetzt.
A wonderful art exhibition in the open air. A place of great serenity nestled in a unique environment. A place to visit, a place to live.
At every turn in this 16 hectare park there is a work of modern art that asks questions yet blends into the Tuscan countryside in a beautiful way. There is a plane crash set in the woods that is so real it is hard to believe it hasn't happened. A druidic circle on top of a hillside with the village of Seggiano as a backdrop is awe inspiring. As is the olive grove with a flock of several hundred geese being driven toward the village by 3 giant drummers. This leads on a voyeuristic a death scene of elephants. This doesn't begin to describe the experience of over 100 exhibits. if you like modern sculpture prepare to be wowed.
It's not really a garden, but a collection of land art and outdoor sculptures in the countryside. Hard to reach - a long drive on winding roads around the Monte Amiata - and it takes ages to visit with a lot of walking around. I am not a fan of Spoerri's work, but of course there are may different artists here. Children have fun discovering odd places, and it's a good place for a picnic.
Sculture molto interessanti.
