Having grown up in Sequim, I love seeing how the lavender farms now dot the landscape. Purple Haze is one of my favorites when our family visits the Sequim/Dungeness Valley. They are family friendly and encourage kids to touch and smell the products and taste the lavender goodies. Their Lavender Spritzer is in almost every room of our house! We also enjoy visiting the peacocks, Shirley and Bob and the assorted chickens. My only issue this past year was the lack of product at the farm gift store, so had to go to the store in Sequim to get what I needed.
The lavender farm was beautiful and quiet. They had a little ice cream stand with really yummy lavender based ice cream. We had the white chocolate and the lemon custard and it was enough for the 4 of us to share. The store was wonderful and big with lots of things to choose from. It was a nice place to sit and relax.
Perfect place if you love lavender.Especially in August. Everything small and taste a lavender.A lot bees, a lot flowers, so if your allergic to bee, wrong place to go.I recommend it.
The lavender fields and gardens were lovely. Since we were there for a relaxing afternoon, we also enjoyed watching the peacock and chickens on the property. They also had wonderful lavender lemon ice cream that we enjoyed, and the gift shop had many things to choose from. I only wish I had purchased more items!
This is the best farm in Sequim. The fields are huge. There are lots of photo ops. You can have a meal here, listen to some music. The store is huge. The staff are friendly.
The scent of lavender greets you even before you open the door. There are goodies to buy for every need. We bought lavender soap, potpourri, magnets, postcards, and a few other souvenirs. My only regret was that we couldn't stay for the Lavender Festival.
Second year in a row that we took midsummer visitors to Sequim and headed to Purple Haze for great photo ops, great views, pretty good prices for live plants, as well as lovely smelling stuff in the fields and store. Very nice 30-30 minute stop.
It wasn't one of the biggest farms there were, but they have a nice place with many products they make and sell. Very nice people explaining anything you need or want to learn about lavenders.
There are many lavender farms on the Olympic Peninsula, none as comfortable as Purple Haze.So much to view and learn, oil distillery, lotions and potions plus lavender ice cream, the farm, and many many products, they will gladly wrap and ship for you. It has a laid back comfort zone for hanging out. They produce a very nice introductory cooking card with recipes and sampling herbs from their garden. Try the lavender sugar and lavender hydrosol spray. So nice. The store is in town- Sequim, and the farm located east just outside of town on Bell Bottom Road. Worth the effort to to scout out.
We've visited almost all the lavender farms in Sequim over the years and we consistently put Purple Haze at the top of our list. It's just off the highway as you exit into Sequim and is in a lovely little hollow where's it's most pleasant to relax and wander about. During the lavender festival they have many booths with handmade crafts and such and there is a small stage for live music. You can sit at picnic tables in front of the stage and enjoy the music while having a bite of lunch. There's a lovely house on the grounds that's a gift shop with lavender, lavender and more lavender. They have peacocks on the back lawn. If you're of an age to know where their name 'Purple Haze' comes from you'll also enjoy the fact that they are located on Bellbottom Road. It's been nice to watch them expand over the past few years. It's a great spot to tarry for an hour or two on a nice day.
