Favorite place in Southeastern Michigan to run. The 6 mile paved walk/bike loop is maintained all year even in the winter months. The Mountain bike trails offer serious terrain for bikers/hikers or runners looking to switch things up. The park has many picnic areas and is unbelievably scenic. Despite being part of a populated suburb, you are submerged in nature once in the park with no signs of the surrounding suburb. You will feel like you are in northern Michigan,.
Awesome park with lots of nature to observe. Pavement is cleared of snowin winter for walkers and runners.
Stoney Creek is an amazingly beautiful park! Two beaches, marina, playgrounds, picnic areas, trails, nature center, so much to see and do! It has something for everyone!

We've visited this metro park a few times now. The playground at the beach is awesome. We also really enjoyed the visitor center and hiking trails there. But, for us, this park can be a bit overcrowded. Try going on a week day vs. a weekend if you want to avoid crowds.
Picnic with family and friends to watch the fire works , you can swim , hike, bike ride, rent paddle boats, there's a ton of things to do I just can't list them all in this review. You can spend an entire day there and not cover it all plus you rent large areas for a large group to picnic with and play games of all sorts as well ,
I live close enough that the family and I bike in much of the summer so the kids can play on the great new playground and just do loops when we want. I also bike around the loop with friends in the early morning or after work for a workout. We do visit this location for different scouting events and the programs have all bee very good.
Great place to walk. The trails are well maintained and its also a great park for picnics. The beaches in the summer are well maintained as well.
I love going to Stony Creek to do my walking on the 6 mile walkway that goes around the whole park. Very scenic. They have bike rentals and paddle boat rentals, etc.
The park is huge. The bike trail alone is 6 miles. There are numerous places to picnic with build in barbecue grills. They have a boat launch, two beaches, fishing, swimming, special events. They even have a place for outside weddings there. They have a nature center and many playgrounds for the kids. You can pay for a daily pass to get in, or a yearly metro park sticker for the year. It's clean and great for the whole family!
