This place was great. The diversity of play/learning areas made it great for younger and older kids. The stage; the dress ups; the car area, and so much more.
Took my 4 year old son and his 3 year old friend. I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting myself into. the boys had a blast but, I think they had to drag me out of there. Lol It was so much fun watching their eyes grow as big as the bubbles.
My kids love coming here. We have to hit it every time we come to St George. They've gone to the art class with Shirley on the last two visits and they love it!
This is an incredible children's museum for such a small community. They have really outdone themselves on this one. If you are from the area or just traveling through, it is a great place to spend the afternoon as a family.
We planned a first visit to the St. George Children's Museum, not knowing what to expect. (We traveled from Salt Lake City.) After reading online that they recommend a donation of $3 per person, I anticipated a tired, outdated indoor play area. Boy, was I in for a pleasant surprise! Firstly, it is housed in a lovely historic building in nice condition. It is three stories, each open for play. The top level currently has a temporary exhibit featuring "Frozen" as the theme. It looks as though many of the exhibits are possible due to donors which have their own spaces in the museum: Zions Bank, Hoopes Vision, etc. The exhibits are done very well. There is such a variety to keep children curious and entertained, from a kingdom to music, from the farm and veterinary to wheelchair basketball! I am impressed! We had children ranging in age from 4 up to 13, and they all had a great time. It's nice to know it is there for the times when we visit, but want to do something indoors.
Brought our 3.5 year old here and he never wanted to leave! There was actually plenty of stuff that's interesting for adults too.
The price is very friendly - a $3 suggested donation per person. However, we went on a Saturday afternoon and it was cacophonous pandemonium. My 9 year old daughter was a little intimidated by the chaos, and she is not a shy kid. Many more children than adults, and many of those children seemed to be essentially unsupervised. The exhibits are great, and I will try to return at a quieter time for a better experience.
I have a 6 year old and a 2 year old. It is great for my 6 year old, she can do everything and enjoys it, my 2 year old struggles to do most of the activities, they do have some areas she can really enjoy her time. I would really love to have a designated 'toddler' area, but really, its a good time whenever we go. Its a fun date to take your kids on to kill some time.
We loved visiting this Museum with our grandkids. It was fun, entertaining, and clean. A definite must do for families with young children.
This is a great activity for grandparents to share with their families. Filled with happy kids exploring all the interesting exhibits. Good way to fill an afternoon.
